Cristiano Ronaldo sends message to Zinedine Zidane after quitting Real Madrid

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has led the tributes being paid to Zinedine Zidane after the French coach announced he would leave his role in charge of the club. 

Zidane has enjoyed incredible success in his two-and-a-half seasons at the Bernabeu, becoming the first manager to successfully defend the Champions League in the modern era and winning it three times back-to-back total. 

Real also won a La Liga title under his stewardship, while Ronaldo claimed successive Ballon d’Or awards during Zidane’s trophy-laden reign.

Zidane’s decision shocked much of the football world, with president Florentino Perez only informed yesterday, and Ronaldo was keen to thank his boss for their time together. 

Alongside a picture of himself with Zidane, Ronaldo posted a message on Instagram saying: ‘I only feel proud to have been your player. Mister, thank you so much.’

Man thinks he has found secret cry for help in Melania Trump’s ‘I’m great’ tweet

A Twitter ‘detective’ claims to have found a cry for help in First Lady Melania Trump’s tweet addressing her disappearance from public view and insisting she is fine. 

Samuel Bepy’s highlighted a series of letters in the tweet, posted Wednesday afternoon, which reads: ‘I’m in chains send hepl.’

His ‘codebreaking’ came after Irish comedy writer Graham Linehan replied to the FLOTUS’s message with skepticism, writing: ‘Could you post a photo of yourself with today’s newspaper?’ 

Mrs Trump issued the rare public statement Wednesday afternoon amid mounting public speculation over her whereabouts, after spending the last three weeks out of sight. 

She tweeted Wednesday: ‘I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing. ‘Rest assured, I’m here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!

The Frenchman has been in charge for two-and-a-half seasons since replacing Carlo Ancelotti, winning the Champions League in three consecutive campaigns as well as winning a La Liga crown too.

He is a leader, a captain and it has been a pleasure to share three more years with him.’

Zinedine Zidane stepped down as Real Madrid Manager, after winning third successive Champions League

Zinedine Zidane has stepped down as Real Madrid manager following a brief spell of unprecedented success as a first-time coach.
The Frenchman, a World Cup and Champions League winner as a player, took over from Rafael Benitez mid-season in January 2016 and steered Madrid back on course to win their 11th European Cup.
But nobody could have predicted that Zidane would complete the unprecedented feat of defending that trophy last season, also adding La Liga to net an impressive double.
Last weekend in Kiev, Zidane helped Madrid become the first team in 40 years to win three consecutive European Cups and the first in the Champions League era, marking him out as one of club football’s most successful coaches less than three years into his managerial career.
And yet the 45-year-old former Ballon d’Or announced on Thursday morning in a surprise press conference at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground that he would not be continuing as the club’s manager.
“I spoke to him to explain a little what I was thinking at the moment. First for me, the squad, the club I think it’s a bit of a weird moment but an important one that is good for everyone. What I think is that this team needs to continue winning but I think it needs a change, a different voice, another methodology and that’s why I took this decision.
“I love this club and the president who gave me the chance to play for this club and manage the club of my dreams. But everything changes and that’s why I’ve taken the decision to leave.”
The club president Florentino Perez said: “This was a totally unexpected decision and today is a sad day for me and for everyone who works for this club. When he says he’s taken a decision though, we have to accept it. 
“I tried to convince him but I know how it is. He knows he has all our love and support. One can’t be prepared for something like this. I remember the first time I went to his house and asked him to coach Real Madrid and he was absolutely convinced he could win things. 
“We must thank him for his care and passion for Real Madrid over these years. The only thing I want to say is ‘hasta pronto’ because I know he will return, maybe after a rest.”
Zidane added: “There are really beautiful moments, ending in a spectacular moment winning the third Champions League, but there are hard moments too. I think it’s the right time. I think the players need a change but I should thank them because at the end of the day it’s them that fight out there and this is a club of very high expectations. 
“We always want more and more, I couldn’t ask for more from these players but now is the time for them to have a different voice in the changing room. The squad already knows. I’ve not talked to them all individually but they all know, by message, yes. I spoke with the captains and with Sergio Ramos. The players have nothing to do with my decision.”

The couple have proven to be seriously loved up all late, with Rio reportedly revealing they’d been talking about the idea of marriage, and that his three young children have been pushing him to pop the question. 

In a new interview with BBC Sport’s World Cup media launch, Rio revealed his kids are already planning his wedding. ‘My little girl wants a replica dress and all this stuff,’ he said. 

‘The kids talk about that a lot, ‘What role am I playing? Am I holding the ring? Who’s doing this?’ They have it planned.’ He also praised Kate for becoming a step-mother to children Lorenz, 11, Tate, nine and Tia, six. ‘I’m proud of her – she’s done an amazing job,’ he said. 

People in her position sometimes go unrecognised. ‘She has dealt with it in a mature fashion, in a majestic sort of way.’ They recently shared another night out, attending the BT Sport Relief Ball.

The couple started dating at the end of 2016 into the start of 2017, and later that year she decided to quit Towie to spend more time with him and their family. 

Rio’s wife Rebecca died in 2015 following a battle with cancer. He recently won himself a TV Bafta for his documentary about losing Rebecca and how his family coped in the aftermath, called Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum And Dad.

Boy kicked out of class for getting Gareth Bale-style haircut

A boy has been kicked out of class after he had a hair cut so that it liked like that of footballer Gareth Bale. Macauley Wade’s mum, Theresa, accused Havelock Academy, Grimsby, of sexism after they branded the style as being ‘extreme’. He tied his hair back with a band to look like his idol’s hair. 

The school said the length wasn’t the issue, just that it was tied back and hairbands must be ‘subtle’. Teresa said: ‘Girls would not be treated in the same fashion – they’re trying to ruin his individuality and they are forcing pupils to become robots. 

‘He’s in the middle of sitting his upcoming GCSE exams and has been told that he cannot come into the school to attend special revision classes. It’s wrong.’

Macauley said: ‘I had put my hair in a bobble to stop it falling down into my face when I am doing my exams or studying. ‘But when I went into school last Wednesday, I was pulled aside by the deputy head who told me that I have an extreme haircut and would have to go home.

‘I ended up sitting in reception for nearly two hours waiting to be collected, and wasn’t allowed to go to any of the classes that were on.’ The school’s uniform policy says that ‘long hair must be tied up for PE/practical Science and/or subjects’. Macauley is now scared that by missing out on school it could have an effect on his exam results.

A spokesman for the school said ‘We have a clear uniform policy that all students must adhere to, which includes hair styles. ‘These are made clear to all students, as well as parents and carers, when they join our school. 

‘We met last week with one of our students, who is on study leave, along with his mother to request that he untie his hair to meet our policy. ‘Regrettably, they have chosen not to, and we hope that they will reconsider their decision.’

Zainab Rufai few days ago publicly accused Dr. Olakunle Churchill of using her for years and dumping her.
Olakunle Churchill then replied her and revealed that the allegations were just made to tarnish his image.
At the time, Olakunle Churchill had mentioned that the call out from his friendship with Zainab was prompted by the conspiracy and a contract offer which was postponed.

Screenshots of chats and contract paper between the duo have emerged and the real motives behind the allegation seems to be unraveling.
His reply to Zainab:
This is very funny to me and I must give her kudos for a well scripted write up to drag me out. I certainly know she has join forces with the #mustbringdownchurchillgang to portray me as evil before the public.
In truth, Zainab was known to me at her young age and we shared some closeness but no engagement or marriage proposal of any sort”
It’s unfortunate that public opinions have been swayed in her direction but I don’t want to give attention to her and all she had said as they were well cooked and garnished by the same source and group that have been blackmailing me.

Eminem confesses he once flashed his penis to Val Kilmer

Eminem has made a confession – that he once accidentally flashed his penis to Val Kilmer. The 45-year-old rapper – whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III – has been dwelling over the embarrassing incident since 2010 when he whipped down his underpants to change ahead of his performance at the Video Music Awards and saw the legendary actor, 58, sat in 50 Cent’s trailer staring at him through the window. 

Taking to his Instagram account on Monday, he recalled: ‘Alright, so here, this is like a confessional. ‘I have something on my mind that’s been bothering me for years. I will tell you a little story: 2009/2010, I was at the VMAs and my trailer was next door to 50 Cent’s trailer and I went to the back to go change for the stage and as I take off my underwear, I look across and in 50’s trailer, right even with me, is Val Kilmer sitting like this [slumped] in a chair.

He said: ‘Boston, how many of you want me to date Nicki Minaj? Well, god dammit, me too. Nicki, if you get this message, just text me later, we’ll talk about it.’

Nicki, 35, later took to her Twitter account to respond to his proposal. She said: ‘LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Queen’s right-hand-man named as pilot killed in helicopter crash yesterday

A pilot who died in a helicopter crash yesterday has been named as Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Barry Dodd. He was killed when the aircraft came down near the village of Aldborough, North Yorkshire, at 1.23pm yesterday. 

North Yorkshire Police today tweeted: ‘Pilot named following helicopter crash near Aldborough. ‘Whilst we await formal identification, we believe he is Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for North Yorkshire, Mr Barry Dodd CBE.’ 

Mr Dodd, who lived near Carlton-in-Cleveland with his wife, was appointed as Lord-Lieutenant for North Yorkshire in September 2014.

The scene of the crash was close to the village of Aldborough. A North Yorkshire Fire Service spokesman said: ‘We got a call at 13:26 to reports of a helicopter crashing into a field near Aldborough, close to Boroughbridge. 

‘A number of fire engines from Boroughbridge, Knaresborough, Harrogate and Ripon are in attendance, and are using hose reels to dampen down the scene. 

‘North Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service are also in attendance. ‘We are unable to confirm details about casualties at this time.’

Donald Trump’s secretary of state spotted at dinner with top North Korean official

A top North Korean official sat down for dinner with Donald Trump’s secretary of state after a planned summit with the US was called off last week. 

Ex-military spy chief Kim Yong Chol, who is now one of Kim Jong-Un’s closes aides, landed in the US on a flight from Beijing yesterday.

He is the highest-level official to visit the US in 18 years. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had travelled to New York from Washington for the hour-and-a-half dinner before a ‘day full of meetings’ today, the White House said. 

The talks are aimed at determining whether a meeting between Trump and Kim, which was planned for June 12 but later cancelled by the US President, can be rescheduled.

Preparations for the highly anticipated summit in Singapore are said to be moving forward on both sides of the Pacific despite uncertainty about whether it will actually go ahead at all.

As Kim and Pompeo met in New York, other US teams were meeting with North Korean officials in Singapore and in the heavily fortified Korean Demilitarised Zone. 

‘If it happens, we’ll certainly be ready,’ White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said of the Singapore summit. Regarding the date for the meeting, she added: ‘We’re going to continue to shoot for June 12.’ 

North Korea’s flurry of diplomatic activity follows a run of nuclear weapons and missile tests in 2017. It is believed Kim Jong-un is eager for international sanctions to be lifted in order to build North Korea’s economy and the meeting with Trump would be seen as a major step towards that.

But there are doubts whether Kim will ever fully relinquish his nuclear weapon arsenal, said to be viewed as his only ‘guarantee of survival’ in a region surrounded by enemies. 

Trump announced that Kim Yong Chol was coming to New York for talks with Pompeo in a tweet on Tuesday in which he said he had a ‘great team’ working on the summit. 

Last week the president announced in an open he had decided to ‘terminate’ the summit following a provocative statement from the North. 

Trump also issued a veiled threat to Kim, saying: ‘You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray they will never be used.’

New York Post calls Kim Kardashian ‘Kim Thong Un’ after meeting with Trump and people are upset

In the most 2018 incident yet, Kim Kardashian headed to the White House to talk prison reform with President Donald Trump. 

The 37-year-old reality star met POTUS to advocate for a pardon for Alice Marie Johnson, who is serving a life sentence for a low-level drug offence. 

Whatever your thoughts about the Kardashians, it’s pretty cool of Kim to attempt to help those mistreated in the prison system – with great-grandmother Johnson already having served 20 years in prison for a non-violent drug trafficking charge. 

But certain people and publications didn’t seem to register this – instead focusing on her bum.

New York Post called out for sexism after 'Trump meets Rump' Kim K headline

Today’s New York Post front cover has attracted quite a bit of criticism, after it headlined a picture of Kim and Trump in the Oval Office ‘Trump Meets Rump’. 

Because even when involved in politics, women are reduced to their curves. Go figure. Other offensive taglines on the front page read ‘the other big ass summit’ and ‘Kim Thong Un pitches prez on prison reform’. 

Ah yes, ‘Kim Thong Un’, because she’s a woman who wears underwear. 

ROFL. Unsurprisingly, there were plenty of people taking to Twitter to hit out at the Post for their headline choices:

One person wrote: ‘Hey men who wrote this cover page @newyorkpost, fuck you. @KimKardashian, sorry woman.’ 

And another tweet read: ‘Love to see #NewYorkPost be shut down for explicit bias. That cover of Kim K was downright disrespectful. Is it because she’s a woman actually trying to do the right and good thing? Rather than talk about it?’ 

However, there were many others who found the puns hilarious, and congratulated the Post on the front page.

Following the announcement that Kim was visiting the White House, social media was abuzz with shock that the mum-of-three knew her stuff about prison reform – because apparently knowledge of politics and the legal system and reality TV do not align. 

You know, despite the current president being a former host of The Apprentice. After her meeting with Trump, Kim said: ‘I would like to thank President Trump for his time this afternoon. 

It is our hope that the President will grant clemency to Ms. Alice Marie Johnson who is serving a life sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense. 

‘We are optimistic about Ms. Johnson’s future and hopeful that she – and so many like her – will get a second chance at life.’
