ICYMI, Sandgren's troubled Twitter history came to light at this year's Australian Open — and now Serena Williams is urging him to apologize!

The athlete recently deleted his entire page after tweets where he interacted with alt-right personalities resurfaced. Some of his content included his belief that Hillary Clinton participated in a Satanic ritual, how entering a gay club made his eyes "bleed," and even a photo from 2015 of Williams he captioned, "Disgusting…"

Anyway, earlier this week the new momma urged Sandgren to apologize for his stupid AF comments, saying:

The mother of one claimed she got famous from just dedicating her time to Instagram.

New York rapper, 6ix9ine dropped a bombshell on Thursday by announcing to his fans that he has signed away his life to illuminati for 7.5 million dollars.

Sharing a photo of himself signing what appears to be a contract document, while another man poses beside him, he wrote on Instagram:  'Right now I'm signing my life away to illuminati for 7.5 million dollars. Life is awesome.'

 

An Irish blogger has confessed to rigging an Instagram contest so that her friends could win the prizes. She also announced that she will be leaving social media following the backlash.

Terrie McEvoy, who boasts an impressive following of over 116,000 people on Instagram, admitted to the allegations, which date back to 2015, and apologized on social media for it. 

McEvoy ran two Instagram competitions in 2015 on behalf of a jewelry company, Tower Jewellers. She then hand-picked her best friend and her brother’s girlfriend as the two winners. This was discovered by an Instagram account which has since been deleted.

McEvoy admitted to rigging the giveaways so she could give her two friends the prize bracelets. She also elaborated on the claims and why she decided to choose her friends.

Captioning an Instagram post showing her petting a baby Kangaroo, the popular blogger wrote: "Sometimes you just need to take a little step back from the madness… cuddle a kangaroo and then move forward."

She continued: "I just wanted to say something small before I put this to bed — I picked my brother's girlfriend and a close friend at the time to win a competition for a bracelet in 2015.

"Approx 100 people entered each one… I think I knew about 30 of the people that entered at the time… I had a small following BUT, I know that’s not an excuse.

"I 100% should have picked somebody I didn’t know and I appreciate why people were so angry, I TOTALLY understand... But I just want people to know that at the time I had my reasons to pick these two particular girls and my heart was in the right place…"

The blogger then describes the tears she has cried, but insists the past is the past. She then revealed that she will be taking a break from social media so she can continue "to keep focusing on me". The social media blogger has already deleted her Facebook.

The post has received more than 7,000 comments with many commenters defending McEvoy’s decision and leaving words of encouragement.

World-renowned Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie was in Paris on Thursday, Jan 25 for the 2018 edition of the 'Night Of Ideas' (Nuit Des Idees) and while there, she schooled an interviewer who made an ignorant comment about Nigeria.

Ms. Adichie launched the third Night Of Ideas which held at the Quai d’Orsay in Paris. During the event, an interviewer asked Chimamanda if Nigerians read her books and when she replied in the affirmative, the interviewer asked another question that was so ignorant, to say the least.

"Do they have libraries in Nigeria?" the interviewer asked.

Chimamanda replied: "I think it reflects poorly on France that you asked that question."

An African Twitter user resident in France gave an update of the interview via her Twitter newsfeed.

Recently Kandi sat down with Madame Noire and revealed why she decided not to join the ladies as they embarked on their journey of releasing new music.

She mentioned that at the beginning of their reconciliation she told her group members that she didn’t want to do new music. “I don’t want to mess with our legacy,” she said. “When we were a group we had three platinum albums. All of our albums were hits, we never had a flop album and things aren’t how they used to be back then.”

She continued, “Record’s are not selling like they used to back then. I don’t want to put out an album and it does not be on that same level.”

Kandi also mentioned that they are four different individuals with their own creative ideas that may sometimes clash.
