Mr. Vegas Says Church Members Pulled Gun On Him And Kicked Him Out

by , in

If you see Mr. Vegas in the headlines today its because of his running with some church folks on Sunday.
The Dancehall star was kicked out of the YMCA in St Andrew on Sunday following a heated debate with Pastor Gino Jennings about faith. Mr. Vegas posted a video on social media of himself ranting about some men he claimed pulled gun on him and forced him out the church. He said some of the men are off-duty police officers.
The video clip shows Mr. Vegas and Pastor Jennings arguing on the pulpit over a previous sermon the famed pastor gave in December where he referred to female church members who wear makeup, paint their nails and do breast implants as prostitutes.
Mr. Vegas took issue with the statement and yesterday the two men decided to have a debate about it in church and well, that didn’t end so well. Jennings could be heard yelling the entertainer to quote a scripture in the bible that says women should wear makeup. Mr. Vegas grew frustrated saying that they turned down his microphone and was not giving him enough time speak.
MV then requested that the pastor played the tape from his controversial sermon and at that point the minister told the artist to leave. At that point things got heated when Mr. Vegas says he is not going anywhere and Pastor Jennings would have to call the police.
Jennings then called in the church security and the ushers to remove Mr. Vegas from the church and that’s when the deejay says some of the men pulled guns on him.

Morgan Freeman pictured for first time after multiple women accuse actor of sexual harassment

by , in

Morgan Freeman has been pictured for the first time since he was accused of sexual harassment by multiple women.

Looking downcast, the actor wore a baseball cap that covered his face as made his way to the film set for The Poison Rose which he stars in alongside John Travolta and which is directed by Fred Durst.

Freeman has lost several sponsorship deals in the days since the allegations emerged but the studio behind the film are sticking with him and he will continue on as the villain in the thriller.

**UK WEB ?400 SET FEE** EXCLUSIVE: **PREMIUM EXCLUSIVE RATES APPLY**Morgan Freeman is seen for the first time since being accused of sexual harassment and issuing an apology over inappropriate behavior. The 80-year-old actor looked downcast as he left a building in Georgia while on his way to the film set of The Poison Rose, in which he stars with John Travolta. The screen legend, who has denied the harassment allegations, has been dropped by some sponsors - but remains on the cast for the thriller, where he is playing a baddie. The Shawshank Redemption actor was accused of harassment by eight women, with eight more claiming they witnessed his alleged behaviour.

Four people who worked on sets with him over the last decade claimed to CNN they didn’t come forward with their accusations for fear of their jobs. A production assistant on 2015 film Going In Style alleged he subjected her to unwanted touching, and comments about her clothes and body.

Six former staff members at the company told the publication that they allegedly witnessed ‘questionable behaviour’ from Freeman around women, including making sexual comments and ‘an incident of unsolicited touching.

In a statement, the 80-year-old revealed he is ‘devastated’ that his career is ‘at risk of being undermined’ following the claims. ‘I am devastated that 80 years of my life is at risk of being undermined, in the blink of an eye, by Thursday’s media reports,’ it read.

‘All victims of assault and harassment deserve to be heard. And we need to listen to them. But it is not right to equate horrific incidents of sexual assault with misplaced compliments or humour.

‘I admit that I am someone who feels a need to try to make women — and men — feel appreciated and at ease around me. As a part of that, I would often try to joke with and compliment women, in what I thought was a light-hearted and humorous way.

‘Clearly I was not always coming across the way I intended. And that is why I apologised Thursday and will continue to apologise to anyone I might have upset, however unintentionally.

‘But I also want to be clear: I did not create unsafe work environments. I did not assault women. I did not offer employment or advancement in exchange for sex,’ he added.

‘Any suggestion that I did so is completely false.’

People think Barack Obama's Memorial Day tribute is much better than Donald Trump's

by , in

Donald Trump has been blasted for his ‘inappropriate, ignorant and tone-deaf’ Memorial Day tribute tweet. The president took the opportunity to commemorate America’s fallen heroes while also praising his own successes on Monday, writing: ‘Happy Memorial Day!

‘Those who died for our great country would be very happy and proud at how well our country is doing today. ‘Best economy in decades, lowest unemployment numbers for Blacks and Hispanics EVER (& women in 18years), rebuilding our Military and so much more. Nice!’ But it was soon roundly condemned, with Obama-era State Department spokesman John Kirby calling it ‘one of the most inappropriate, ignorant and tone-deaf things our Commander-in-Chief could have said on a day like today.’

Former Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Martin Dempsey wrote: ‘This day, of all days of the year, should not be about any one of us.’ Trump’s message was also compared unfavorably to his predecessor Barack Obama’s statesmanlike tweet, which read: ‘We can never truly repay the debt we owe our fallen heroes.

‘But we can remember them, honor their sacrifice, and affirm in our own lives those enduring ideals of justice, equality, and opportunity for which generations of Americans have given that last full measure of devotion.’

YouTube star Tyler Oakley was among those who noticed the difference in tone, posting a screenshot of the two tweets with the caption ‘we downgraded beyond belief.’ Another tweeter called nycsouthpaw also shared the two messages, and wrote *looks out of the window for a long time*, apparently implying that he was wistful for the years that Obama was president.

Yet another tweeter joked that the difference in tone showed that America had ‘downgraded from an iPhone X to a telegram.’ The annual public holiday remembers those who died while serving in America’s armed forces. Trump has attacked army vets including Senator John McCain over their military records, even though he received five deferments from the Vietman war draft and never served in the military.

Tributes to man killed after Audi rammed into people outside club

by , in

The man who died when an Audi crashed into a group of people standing outside a club in Stockport has been identified. Tributes have been paid to Nathan Marshall, who has been named locally as the victim of the incident that happened outside The Salisbury Club at 10.45pm on Sunday night.

A murder investigation is under way after the driver fled the scene in the car before abandoning it on a motorway, police said. Mr Marshall, from Reddish, was killed and several others were injured, though it is not known how seriously they were hurt. Paramedics arrived at the scene and Mr Marshall was taken to hospital, where he died.

Tributes left at the scene included a note from staff at the club, which read: ‘From the landlady and family and customers of The Salisbury Club, so very sorry we tried our hardest. ‘We’d only met you for the first time but we’ll never forget your pleasant smile. Rest in Peace.’

Another message, inscribed on a balloon, said: ‘Nathan, the boss man, forever in our hearts.’ Tributes have also been left on social media in the wake of the incident. A resident reported seeing a fight outside the club before the car hit a number of people.

Sharon Mills, 44, who witnessed the incident and called police, said: ‘They came out of the club fighting and a man got into his car and ran over a few people. ‘A man was on the floor with ambulance staff working on him, it was horrible.’

The clockwise stretch of the M60 was closed for more than five hours into the early hours of Monday morning after the black Audi was abandoned on the second lane. Police believe the driver jumped over a fence at the side of the motorway after dumping the car in the middle of the carriageway.

No arrests have yet been made and a manhunt is ongoing. Detective Inspector Kris Williams, of Greater Manchester Police’s Stockport team, said: ‘My thoughts go out to the man’s family who sadly have to deal with the tragic news that their loved one has died.

‘We’ve already spoken to a number of witnesses in the area and will continue to do so to build a fuller picture of what has exactly happened but from what we know so far, we believe the driver of the car scaled the fence next to the M60 and ran away. ‘Whatever information people have, I’d encourage them to contact us as a matter of urgency.’

Egyptian lawyer files €1 billion lawsuit against Ramos over Salah challenge

by , in

An Egyptian lawyer has filed a €1 billion lawsuit against Sergio Ramos for the challenge which injured Mohamed Salah in the Champions League final.
Salah was forced off in tears with a suspected ligament damage of his shoulder, which ended Liverpool's early dominance in Kiev as Real Madrid went on to win 3-1.
Initial fears had Salah ruled out of the World Cup - Jurgen Klopp said post-match that is was likely he will miss the tournament - but the player is now "confident" of taking part.
Lawyer Bassem Wahba is keen to press ahead with the lawsuit, confirming his intention on Egyptian television.
"Ramos intentionally injured Mo Salah and should be punished about his actions," he claimed on the Sada El-Balad channel.
"I've filed a lawsuit and a complaint to Fifa.
"I'll ask for compensation, which could exceed €1 billion (£873 million), for the physical and psychological harm that Ramos gave Salah and the Egyptian people."

Rio Ferdinand tells Gareth Bale to complete Manchester United transfer

by , in

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale has been advised to join Manchester United by former Red Devils captain Rio Ferdinand

The Welshman admitted he will reconsider his future at the Bernabeu this summer after scoring twice in Madrid’s 3-1 Champions League final win against Liverpool. ‘I need to be playing week-in week-out and that hasn’t happened this season for one reason or another,’ said Bale.

‘I have to sit down in the summer and discuss my future with my agent and take it from there. Obviously I was very disappointed not to start the game, so the best I could do was come on and make an impact – and that’s what I did.’

Rio Ferdinand sends message to Gareth Bale over Manchester United transfer

Bale was furious that he was left on the bench for the final against the Reds and Zinedine Zidane snubbed the Welshman for over three hours after the final.

Manchester United are said to be encouraged by Bale’s comments after the game in Kiev and are ready to move to the former Spurs winger. And Ferdinand believes Bale is right to leave the Bernabeu and says Old Trafford is the right place for him.

Gareth Bale 4 CL winners medals, 3 CL finals goals - what more is there to do at @realmadrid for @garethbale11? He was brought there to eventually take over the mantle as the teams talisman from @cristiano but the Portuguese megastar has not played ball with that idea Real had regarding #Bale. He has sustained a relentless assault on collecting individual & collective team awards through his phenomenal goal scoring exploits since Bale arrived in #Madrid. Some may say Gareth’s non combative nature and him not having an ego to rival Ronaldo’s has played its part in holding Gareth back from going on to take the top dog spot at Madrid’s top table - who knows but it was never going to be easy. But what he has done is produce magic moments on the big stage - in finals, and played a vital role in this record breaking squad lead by the great @zidane. Whatever anyone has to say about him he has etched himself into the history of Real Madrid, a club that prides itself on winning the biggest prize in European club football. Now I feel it’s up to him to decide what he wants. Some will say he has nothing to prove & I understand that to a certain extent but does he want to go somewhere & be the main man & take on the full responsibility of a club who want to win? Or does he want to remain & continue in the role he is in now, as the supporting cast...? Personally I would love to see him come back to the @premierleague (preferably with @manchesterunited) & dominate. Write a new chapter as a leader of a club, the go to guy at all times, the icon....this is what the greats do in all sports not just football, it elevates them... 4 @championsleague winners medals, 3 #UCL finals goals 🔥

United tried to sign Bale from Southampton in 2007 but were pipped to his signature by Spurs. The Red Devils then tried to beat Real Madrid in 2013 but Bale chose Spain over the north-west.

United have maintained a strong interest ever since and Jose Mourinho was seen telling Bale ‘how can I buy you when you don’t speak to me’ after a friendly against the Red Devils in the United States last summer.

Hero of Paris who rescued child from balcony is given a job and French citizenship

by , in

A migrant dubbed ‘spiderman’ for his heroic rescue of a small boy dangling from a balcony is to be made a French citizen. Mamoudou Gassama from Mali was living illegally in Paris when he scaled an apartment building over the weekend to save a child hanging from a fifth-floor balcony.

The 22-year-old won widespread praise for his daring rescue, saying he did not stop to think before climbing to rescue the stricken four-year-old.

Today Mamoudou met with President Emmanuel Macron at the presidential Elysee Palace where he was told he would be made a naturalised citizen. Mr Macron told him ‘bravo’, gave him a medal for ‘courage and devotion’ and said he would also be offered a role in the fire service.

Mamoudou scaled a building in Paris’ northern 18th district on Saturday, climbing from balcony to balcony until reaching the fifth floor, to rescue the child The young man said he has papers to legally stay in Italy, where he arrived in Europe after crossing the Mediterranean after a long, rough stay in Libya.

However, he wants to join his older brother, who has lived in France for decades. Mamoudou, dressed in blue jeans and white shirt, recounted his experience to the French leader. ‘I ran. I crossed the street to save him,’ he told Mr Macron. He said he did not think twice, adding: ‘When I started to climb, it gave me courage to keep climbing.’ God ‘helped me’ too, he said. ‘Thank God I saved him.’

He said he felt fear when he took the child into the apartment. ‘I was trembling,” he told Mr Macron. ‘Because this is an exceptional act… we are obviously, today, going to regularise all your papers,’ Mr Macron told him, ‘and if you wish we will start nationalisation procedures so you can become French.’

Mamoudou told Mr Macron that he arrived in Italy in 2014 after more than a year in Libya, where he was arrested and beaten, ‘but I wasn’t discouraged’.

The French president is toughening the nation’s approach to immigration, and stressed that not all who make the treacherous journey to Europe can be welcomed, but that Mamoudou’s actions were admirable.

‘You saved a child. Without you, no one knows what would have become of him,’ the president said. ‘You need courage and the capability to do that.’ Working as a firefighter corresponds with his skills, Mr Macron said, and opened the door for him to join.

‘You have become an example because millions have seen you’ on social media, the president said. Local authorities in France said the boy’s parents were not at home at the time.

The father has been questioned by police on suspicion of leaving his child unattended, judicial sources say. The mother was not in Paris at the time, it is believed.

Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo was among those to praise the 22-year-old’s heroism and said she had called him to thank him. She referred to him as the ‘Spiderman of the 18th’.

by , in

A couple were finally re-united with their son following his disappearance 24 years ago. Pictures showed dad Li Shunji and mum Du Li embracing Li Lei, 27, after managing to track him down using a police DNA database.

Li Shunji reportedly said to his son: ‘We’ve finally found you! ‘We’d been searching for 24 years.’ He had disappeared in Xi’an, capital of north-western China’s Shaanxi Province, on 8th August 1994, after he got lost in a crowd. The three-year-old had followed his dad to the shops without him knowing.

His parents feared he had been kidnapped but have since discovered a couple found him wandering around on his own and took him in because they thought he was an orphan. Li and Du had never given up hope of finding their son even after they had twin children later on.

His biological parents did the same in 2017, and a match was eventually found. The identities of Lei Lei’s foster parents has not been revealed and it’s not clear if they will be in legal trouble for not handing him in.
