ARSENAL fans are desperate for the club to sign Jack Butland.
The Stoke City goalkeeper was spotted in tears as the Potters were relegated following defeat to Crystal Palace.
But there was little sympathy from Gooners who have urged the club to fix their goalkeeping problems and move for the 25-year-old.
There is a long history of bad blood between the two sets of fans - owing to the start contrast in playing styles and the leg break of Aaron Ramsey.
In their 10 years in the top flight, Stoke have been a thorn in the side for Arsene Wenger's teams.

Butland was distraught at full-time and was pictured in tears
Now Arsenal fans want their club to poach the England keeper for a cut-price fee.
Immediately after Stoke were doomed to the Championship, fans began making their voice heard on social media.
One said: "Snap up Jack Butland, Arsenal!"
Another added: "Arsenal, go grab Jack Butland."
"Arsenal should just buy Butland," said one, while another wrote, "Arsenal, get on the phone.
"GET BUTLAND IN ASAP."
One wrote: "Chin up Butland. You'll be Arsenal keeper next season."
Arsenal fan TV regular Mr DT spoke for a lot of Gooners when he wrote: "What a great day for football, Stoke City relegated, bye bye you absolute mugs, Aaron Ramsey sends his love."
The message was liked and retweeted thousands of times.

Nicki Minaj drops both videos for “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li” her two latest bangers.
The Young Money rapper has been teasing the videos on social media since last week and now they are finally here. The video for “Chun-Li” was directed by Steven Klein and features Nicki Minaj playing a tough female superhero/dominatrix type of character while paying homage to Japanese culture. The video was choreographed by Aliya Janell and last week Nicki showcased some behind the scenes clips. The cinematic clip already crack 10 million views in the first 24 hours of release.
The cut for “Barbie Tingz” is much more colorful and vibrant and was also choreographed by Aliya Janell. Vogue Italia creative director, Giovanni Bianco, directed the video which features Nicki Minaj cloning herself while getting dressed in some outlandish but sexy outfits while showing off her banging body.
“Chun-Li” became Nicki Minaj’s 16th top 10 Billboard Hot 100 singles last month after quickly shooting up the chart. Nicki is clearly sending a message to her critics in the game, she is back with vengeance.

'YOU'LL BE BACK' Crystal Palace player apologies for scoring against Stoke

Patrick an Aanholt says he’s sorry for scoring a goal for Crystal Palace in the South Londoners 2-1 win over Stoke City. Van Aanholt has never played for Stoke. So it’s not yet another example of that sad, pathetic and po-faced non-celebration celebration enacted by players who score against a former club. Van Aanholt is sorry because his goal means Stoke City are relegated from the Premier League.

Van Aanholt scored when he took full advantage of Ryan Shawcross’s calamitous under-hit backpass. A more cogent argument for Stoke’s demise than the vibrant opposition trying to score, and succeeding twice, would be to point the finger at Shawcross and then point lots more fingers at the rest of the Stoke side who failed to protect a 1-0 lead in a vital match.
Stoke fans can shake a fist at a club that forgot how to beat a team – winning once since January – that in Xherdan Shaqiri, have a single capable of posing a threat, and are overseen by board that took too long to sack the wildly overrated Mark Hughes.
Paul Lambert, Stoke’s manager, says relegation is a “change to rebuild”. Although he’s yet to tweet a word of thanks to Van Aanholt.

Alex Ferguson has emergency surgery

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson had emergency surgery today (May 5) for a brain haemorrhage.
BBC News is reporting that the 76-year-old had to undergo the emergency surgery which is said to have "gone very well."

Manchester United football club tweeted: "Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone surgery today for a brain haemorrhage. The procedure has gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to aid his recovery. His family request privacy in this matter.

"Everyone at Manchester United sends our very best wishes."

Ferguson's son, Darren Ferguson who is manager of Doncaster Rovers, missed his team's match which happened this afternoon.

His reprentative said in a statement: "Darren asks for privacy, and will provide an update through the club during the week" (via Manchester Evening News).

The senior Ferguson led Manchester United as manager for 26 years before retiring in May 2013 and was last seen at Old Trafford, the team's home ground, last Sunday (April 29) where he was on hand to present Arsenal's Arsene Wenger with a commemorative trophy.

Twitter was flooded with well wishes for Ferguson after the news broke;




















 Olympic Gold and European Gold hockey medallist Sam Queck also shared some memories with the footballing legend.
"Terrible news emerging about Sir Alex Ferguson. I was lucky enough to meet him at Anfield last month & we shared a brief conversation," she tweeted.
"He was a true gent. My thoughts are with his family & I wish him the very best with his recovery. From a Red to a Red Devil, 'Get well soon!'"
Gary Lineker also shared a message for the legend. He wrote: "Very sorry to hear the news that Sir Alex Ferguson is seriously ill in hospital. Wish him all the very best."

Jordin Sparks Welcomes Son Dana Isaiah Jr.: I Am 'Overwhelmed with Joy'

It’s a boy for Jordin Sparks and Dana Isaiah! 

 The American Idol alum, 28, and her 25-year-old husband welcomed their first child, a son named Dana Isaiah Thomas Jr., PEOPLE confirms it.

 Sparks and Isaiah welcomed their baby boy, whom they’ll call DJ, May 2 at 9:04 p.m. at the Natural Birth Center & Women’s Wellness, Los Angeles; he weighed 8 lbs. 4.5 oz. and measured in at 21½ inches.

“It was miraculously beautiful,” Sparks tells PEOPLE of the birth. “Dana caught him with my midwife, Simona, and when he handed him to me, I was absolutely overwhelmed with joy. He was and is everything we imagined.”
Adds Sparks: “I’m feeling pretty good! I am so grateful for my husband and amazing team at the Natural Birthing Center. I don’t think I would be feeling this great without them!”
And the singer is looking forward to beginning her journey as a mother.
“I’ve always loved kids and knew that if given the blessing, that I would love and embrace it more than I realized. It’s only been a few days and I love it so much already!” Sparks says. “The joy, laughter, scrapes and bruises…I can’t wait for it all!”

Job hunter branded "chavvy" and "irritating" by potential boss in email mistakenly sent to her after she applied

A Job hunter says she was left humiliated after a potential employer described her as "chavvy" and probably "irritating" in an email mistakenly sent to her.
The email said applicant Paige Bond "would probably lift spirits in the packing room" but only if staff "can cope with having someone like her around".
Paige, 48, had applied for a box packing job with Dorset-based organic grocer Forest Whole Foods.
She said the person who wrote the email, believed to be a woman, judged her after looking at her brief CV and her Facebook page.
Paige, from New Milton, Hampshire, told the Sun: “I’m quite glamorous and yes I have big boobs but how can they judge me on that? The last thing I am is a chav.
“I brighten up my Facebook page, and I enjoy a selfie, but if I’m being judged on this, it’s disgusting. It’s humiliating and totally wrong.”
In addition to describing her as "chavvy" and probably "irritating", the email mentioned her pink fingernails and said: “She is probably worth interviewing if you think you can cope with having someone like her around.”
But the writer warned: “Delete this email in case you took her on and she found it.”
However it ended up in Paige's inbox as it was mistakenly sent to her.
She told MailOnline the email was "disgusting" and the woman believed to have authored it called and left an apology on her voicemail.
Paige said: "When she left the message she said that the guys would really love to meet me.
"I thought, 'I'm a strong woman, I will go for that interview'.
"I wanted to see that woman."
The unemployed divorcee wanted to see if the email would be mentioned during the interview at the grocer's headquarters in Christchurch.
She said she brought it up at the end and received an apology.
Paige said she did not meet the woman believed to have written the email.
Her CV mentioned a warehouse packing job she had last year and her background in promotions and sales.
She added: "It’s hard enough being unemployed but to get a kicking for trying to get work is not good enough.”
She said she wouldn't take the job if it was offered to her.
Paige claims the email was written by a woman named Josie.
Nutritional therapist Josie Bickle, 34, is listed as a director of Forest Whole Foods, along with her 37-year-old husband Kingsley, to whom the email was sent.
The couple co-founded the organic grocer, which was recently named best new business at a New Forest Business Partnership awards ceremony.

Donald Trump compares London hospital to ‘warzone’ because of knife crime

Donald Trump thinks there’s a hospital in London that is like a ‘war zone’ because of stabbings in the capital. Of course that’s not true but that did not stop the US President from telling a pro-gun rally that it was. 

He told the National Rifle Convention (NRA) in Dallas yesterday: ‘I recently read a story that in London, which has unbelievably tough gun laws, a once very prestigious hospital right in the middle is like a war zone for horrible stabbing wounds.
‘Yes that’s right, they don’t have guns they have knives. ‘And instead there’s blood all over the floors of this hospital. They say it’s as bad as a military war zone hospital.’

Mr Trump may have been referring to this Daily Mail article, which quoted a trauma surgeon who likened a London hospital to an Afghan war zone. But this was probably an exaggeration. 

So far this year at least 38 people in London have lost their lives to knife crime, according to Metropolitan Police statistics.

Mr Trump also criticised French gun laws and suggested the Paris terror attack could have been prevented if more people were armed. 

The 2015 attack left 130 dead after terrorists carried out a series of suicide bombs and mass shootings in the French capital. He went on to say: ‘The one thing that has always stood between the American people and the elimination of our Second Amendment rights has been Conservatives and congress willing to fight for those rights, and we’re fighting.’
