Nigerian dancehall musician, Duncan Mighty who earlier debunked claims that he became rich as a result of oil bunkering in Rivers state is showing off on social media as his years of suffering are now paying off.

He just shared a photo of his designer embroidered denim Gucci jacket worth $3,350.

He wrote alongside the photo:

Europa League trophy recovered after being stolen in Mexico

After being taken from a transport vehicle the trophy has been recovered, according to officials in Leon

The Europa League trophy is back in safe hands after it was reportedly taken from a transport vehicle in the Mexican city of Leon.

Authorities Guanajuato state, in central Mexico, claimed that the trophy has been taken after an event in the city while on tour, but was soon recovered.

The authorities tweeted out an image of the trophy safely laid in cloth to prove that it was in friendly hands, but did not provide more detail of the incident.

The Europa League is currently in the semi-final stage of the competition, with Marseille set to face Red Bull Salzburg and Arsenal squaring off with Atletico Madrid.

While the theft of a trophy is not a regular occurance, it's not new.

The Jules Rimet trophy, now known as the FIFA World Cup Trophy, was famously stolen in March 1966 in London.

That trophy was taken from a stamp exhibition in Westminster, and later found under a hedge in south London by a dog named Pickles.

The Europa League trophy, should it return to Europe in one piece, will be handed to the competition winners in Lyon on May 16.

Kim K spells ‘gluten’ wrong on Kourtney’s birthday card, despite it being written on the front

Kim Kardashian made a huge gaffe on sister Kourtney’s birthday card – and it’s a little bit awkward. The mum-of-three gave the birthday girl a thoughtful card, telling her to ‘live her best gluten-free life’. Quite sweet, right? Until you realise she spelt it ‘glueten’, which isn’t quite the same thing.

And, to make matters worse for the reality star, the correct spelling was actually on the front of the card… Oh, Kimmy. Kanye West’s wife announced the news on her app and website, breaking all of our hearts. ‘After nearly 12 years, my sisters and I have decided to close the doors of our DASH stores,’ the 37-year-old explained. ‘We opened our first store as a family in 2006 and since then we have made so many lifelong memories. ‘From opening locations in Los Angeles, Miami and New York, to having our Dash Dolls spin-off show, it’s been such a huge part of our lives.

Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri has joined team ‘thicker body’ and she has a word for y’all who are body shamers.

Ruth Kadiri who took to her Instagram page to show off her ‘new body’ wrote;

“Dear body shammers Even as a fat girl I keep getting it. Kill yourselves.”

In another news, Moyo Lawal also slammed online trolls who called her out for being fat and short, as some claimed she went for plastic surgery to help enhance her body and physique.

Moyo, however, proud of who she is and what she’s got, embraced her body and she even created the office of the ‘Commissioner of fat and short people’ for herself. In an Instagram post, the actress thought to remind body-shamers again that she is just fat and fat in the right places and she did not undergo any plastic surgery.

“Its super confusing that people will accuse me of surgery, and then try to body shame me all at the same time ……. Like….some people will go” how did Moyos lady bits get so big….. ……… The same set of people of people will still go, Moyo you know have added weight ….. Eeeem, are you serious???

Avicii dead: Friend 'heartbroken' after Swedish DJ 'broke promise to stop drinking'

Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, died aged 28 yesterday, his press contact confirmed, saying that he had been found dead in Oman where he had been visiting.

The EDM star previously retired from live performing in 2016, citing health reasons.

According to Variety, he had suffered for several years with health problems including acute pancreatitis and had his gallbladder and appendix removed in 2014.

Since news broke of Avicii’s death, Chic frontman Nile, 65, who worked with the Hey Brother star many times, recalled the last time they teamed up for a gig three years ago.

“It was a little bit sad to me because he had promised me he would stop drinking,” Nile told the Associated Press. “And when I saw him, he was drunk that night.

“And I was like, ‘Whoa. Dude. C’mon. What are you doing? What’s going on? You said that that was done,’” the legendary producer said.

“We did a show and I was a little upset.

“I didn’t even stick around for his performance because it was breaking my heart,” he admitted.

“But we still had a great time. It was wonderful we were that close.”

Avicii dead: Nile Rodgers paying tribute on Twitter

Avicii’s cause of death has not yet been reported.

Nile took to Twitter after hearing the tragic news, paying tribute to his pal and collaborator in a string of emotional messages to his 192,000 followers.

“I was just told my dear friend Tim @avicii just passed away. Please let this be a hoax,” he wrote. “If not #RIPAVICII one of the best natural melody…”

In a second tweet he said: “Dear Tim, your family have my most heartfelt condolences. You were my little bro. Love always.

“I’m crying on the airplane,” he continued. “I hope I don’t make the passengers nervous.”

Avicii’s press contact confirmed his death yesterday in a statement to Swedish publication Dagens Nyheter.

“It is with great sorrow that we must announce that Tim Bergling, known as the artist Avicii, is dead,” they said.

“He was in Muscat, Oman and was found dead during Friday afternoon local time.

“The family is crushed and we ask you to show consideration and leave them alone in this difficult time. No more statements will be made.”

The DJ sadly passed away on Friday

Following the tragic death of Avicii, who's real name is Tim Bergling, a number of high profile stars from the world of music have taken to social media to pay tribute to the DJ and music producer.

Avicii passed away in Muscat, Oman on Friday afternoon, with his reps confirming the news with a statement reading: "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii.

"He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th.

"The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given."

Avicii, who's biggest hits include Wake Me Up, Hey Brother and Levels, had worked with a number of famous musicians in his career.

He recently teamed with Rita Ora on the huge hit Lonely Together.

Upon hearing the news of Avicii's death, Rita wrote: "I have no words. I remember how amazing it was to make Lonely Together and it felt like just yesterday we were talking. Condolences to Avicii's family, friends, and the fans who supported him. May he rest in peace. Gone too soon. I’m devastated. Heartbroken."

Fellow DJ, David Guetta, also paid tribute to his friend and colleague.

"Something really horrible happened," he wrote on Twitter. "We lost a friend with such a beautiful heart and the world lost an incredibly talented musician. Thank you for your beautiful melodies, the time we shared in the studio, playing together as djs or just enjoying life as friends. RIP @Avici"

Liam Payne expressed his shock at the news, writing: "Oh my god truly devastated for Avicii very very sad news way to young ... what a talent he was. rest in peace x"

Calvin Harris posted on Twitter: "Devastating news about Avicii, a beautiful soul, passionate and extremely talented with so much more to do. My heart goes out to his family. God bless you Tim x"

"Such sad news to hear about Avicii passing. Too young and way too soon. My condolences go out to his family, friends and fans x," Dua Lipa wrote.

The cause of Tim's death is not yet known, however the DJ had previously opened up about long-standing health problems which saw him announce he was quitting touring in 2016.

After cancelling several shows in 2014 he revealed he had suffered acute pancreatitis, which was believed to a be result of 'excessive drinking'. The DJ then went on to have his appendix and gallbladder removed.

Chic star and friend of the DJ, Nile Rodgers, also took to Twitter to share his sadness at the news.

He wrote: "I still can't believe Tim's gone. #RIP @Avicii - Love always. You were so gifted and I'm glad I shares the planet while you walked it."

Nile also revealed his 'sadness' to see Avicii putting his health at risk when he was drunk at a concert they did together they performed at together years ago.

"It was a little bit sad to me because he had promised me he would stop drinking, and when I saw him he was drunk that night," he told Associated Press.

"And I was like, 'Whoa. Dude. C'mon. What are you doing? What's going on? You said that that was done'."

He added: "I didn't even stick around for his performance because it was breaking my heart."

Singer Korede Bello graduates with distinction from Nigerian Institute of Journalism

Mavin star Korede Bello has graduated from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism with a distinction in Mass Communication (HND).

At the 5th convocation on Friday, April 20 with Ray Ekpu as the Chairman, the Institute presented one thousand three hundred and forty-one (1,341) “graduands of five academic sessions from 2013-2017 sets”.

The award of National Diploma (ND) certificate was presented to 501 students and Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate presented to 407 students, Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) certificate presented to 352 students, Proficiency Certificate Journalism presented to 64 students and Proficiency Certificate in Writing and Communication presented to 17 students.

According to the HND award list, Korede Bello was among the seven (7) students that graduated with distinction in the 2017 set of the institute. Apart from graduating, Korede Bello was also awarded the best student in “Editorial Writing” by the institute.
