Meghan Markle’s dad is walking her down the aisle when she marries Prince Harry later this month. There has been fevered speculation over who will walk Meghan down the aisle ever since her engagement to Prince Harry was announced on 27 November last year. While it is traditional for the father of the bride to walk the bride down the aisle to her groom, it was rumoured that Meghan’s dad, Thomas Markle, was too shy to do the job.
The same reason was given when it was claimed he also wouldn’t be doing the famous Father Of The Bride speech during the wedding breakfast, with Meghan reportedly penning her own speech in place of his.
Meghan and her father, who lives in Mexico, are believed to be estranged and it’s understood he lives a reclusive life alone. However, since the initial reports suggesting the Father Of The Bride’s absence from the royal wedding, it was since reported that he would indeed be dong a speech and would also be giving her away..
