Amazing moment policeman saves choking baby’s life with CPR

This is the moment a heroic police officer saved a choking baby’s life by performing CPR. Bodycam footage shows Nick St.Onge gently pat the two-month old girl’s back for three minutes in a bid to dislodge a blockage from the little girl’s throat.

St. Onge, an officer with Marietta PD in Georgia, says ‘Come on baby, give me a cry baby,’ as he performs the lifesaving procedure on the infant, who is called Zianna, as her stricken grandmother Kianna Dorsey watches. After three minutes of back blows and compressions Zianna, who stopped breathing after drinking a bottle of milk, can be heard to give a weak cry as Officer St.

Onge successfully clears the blockage in her throat. St. Onge told Channel 2 that he had recently taken a course in infant CPR, and that his nine years spent in the marines had helped him stay calm and focused. He said: ‘I’m just the guy who showed up to do what he had to do.

‘I would probably describe it as three minutes of terror followed by a lot of joy.’ Zianna was then worked on by EMTs who responded to the scene, with the young child expected to make a full recovery.
