Grateful for the message, Lamar replied to Kanye and said back: "Glad I could be there 4 u bro like u came thru 4me. It was a big stage 2 be on after everything I went thru but it was worth it @kanyewest"
Their bromance was praised by fans, some of whom admitted they were "sobbing uncontrollably" following the note. And the time was more poignant given that Lamar's ex-wife recently gave birth to her daughter True with her new boyfriend Tristan Thompson.
One fan wrote beneath Lamar's post: "I got chills when I saw that. Keep working hard@on sobriety we believe in you"
Another said: "So proud of you two."
Kanye returned to Twitter on Friday almost a year after he deactivated his account.
Kanye added: "Some people have to work within the existing consciousness while some people can shift the consciousness
"Often people working with the existing consciousness are jealous of those who are more in touch and they become hard-core capitalist in hopes of creating the illusion that the value of money is worth more than the value of time and friends"
