Hilary Duff takes newly adopted dog Lucy out for walk as she bundles up from head-to-toe in NYC

She adopted Lucy with her boyfriend Matthew Koma last month.

And Hilary Duff enjoyed a stroll with her newly adopted canine in New York City on Friday.  

The star, 30, walked Lucy and a second pooch while bundled up from head-to-toe in a red beanie and long black coat. 

The former Lizzie McGuire actress cut a bohemian chic figure in her ripped, rolled up jeans and black boots.

Fresh faced, the actress wore her sandy blonde hair down in loose waves that tumbled down the front of her coat. 

Hilary is currently the mother of one child, son Luca.

She shares her six-year-old with ex-husband Mike Comrie, 37.

The couple have been divorced since 2016, and Hilary is currently in a relationship with musician Matthew Koma. 

The twosome recently adopted Lucy following the passing of Hilary's dog, Dubois.

On Friday, the Houston, Texas native shared a snap of their pooch on Instagram. In the photo, Hilary and her new canine pal were cuddled comfortably in bed.

'Just two snuggly bugs,' she wrote.
