And Chrissy Teigen didn't take any criticism of the singer lightly, clapping back at an online critic on Instagram who called the casting of 39-year-old Legend 'a mockery to our lord Jesus Christ'.
'You’re so right. You’re always right. You aren’t crazy at all. You’re a totally normal human and not at all a f**king loser,' wrote the 32-year-old model.
The original comment read, in full: 'Sad to see ur hubby in Jesus Christ Super Star. That is a mockery to our lord Jesus Christ.'
'The one who gave ya'll all [sic] ur fame n glory. That's a shame. SMH. Sad!'
Which then prompted the brutally sarcastic takedown by the La La Land actor's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model wife.
Jesus Christ Superstar debuts on April 1.
Apart from Legend, the other stars in the live production include Sara Bareilles as Mary Magdalene, Brandon Victor Dixon as Judas and Alice Cooper as King Herod.
It will be directed by theater great David Leveaux, and will be performed at the Marcy Armory in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The original version of Jesus Christ Superstar his Broadway back in 1971 and quickly garnered five Tony nominations and a Drama Desk win for creator Andrew Lloyd Webber.
