Bruno Mars and Cardi B Dress in '90s Gear to Perform 'Finesse' at the Grammy Awards

by , in
Bruno Mars and Cardi B were drippin’ in finesse at the 2018 Grammy Awards!
The duo, who broke the internet with their In Living Color-inspired video for the remix of Mars’ tune, tore up the Grammys stage.
Their performance picked up the videos ’90s inspired theme, with Mars and Cardi B both dressed in colorful clothes.
Mars also threw in a special dance break (as always), with Cardi adding an additional rap verse to the mix.

Ahead of the show, host James Corden teased the pair’s performance on E! Live from the Red Carpet, telling host Ryan Seacrest, “[It’s] everything you want it to be.”
In addition to performing, Mars earned six total Grammy nominations for 24K Magic, including album of the year, record of the year and song of the year for “That’s What I Like.”
Cardi B was also nominated twice this year in the best rap song and best rap performance categories.
The five-time Grammy winner and the rapper, 25, released their first collaboration together, titled “Finesse,” 30 minutes ahead of its midnight release in January. Originally featured on Mars’ 24K Magic, the song — co-written and produced by the Stereotypes — has a new jack-swing inspired beat and plenty of drums.
The music video has In Living Color themes, with both stars in colorful gear and boasting paint brushes as they danced in a ’90s-set with cement floors.

“Finesse” is the latest of Cardi B’s musical collaborations to make a splash on the music scene. Her musical efforts with other artists, including her own breakthrough single “Bodak Yellow,” placed the Bronx-born singer as the first rapper in history to place her first three Billboard Hot 100 entries in the chart’s Top 10 simultaneously.

'I've got butterflies in my vagina!' Cardi B jokes about her nerves as rapper arrives for the Grammys

by , in

Her bubbly personality propelled her rise from unknown stripper to viral Instagram model, before landing her a gig as a reality star, then helping her forge a career as a rapper.
So it was only to be expected that Cardi B didn't hold back as the Bodak Yellow singer walked the red carpet at her first Grammy Awards.
'I'm feeling good, I'm feeling nervous, overwhelmed - everything,' Cardi admitted, before memorably adding that she had: 'Butterflies in my stomachache and vagina.'

Made it: Her bubbly personality propelled her rise from unknown stripper to viral Instagram model, before landing her a gig as a reality star, then helping her forge a career as a rapper

E! host Giuliana Rancic laughed in shock, before telling the irrepressible former Love And Hip Hop: New York star: 'I know why I love you so much. The reason everyone loves you, because you speak your mind. You do not hold back.'

Cardi is nominated for two awards at Sunday's New York ceremony - Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for her debut track Bodak Yellow.
Meanwhile she is engaged to be married to rapper Offset.

Plenty to say: It was only to be expected that Cardi B didn't hold back as the Bodak Yellow singer walked the red carpet at her first Grammy Awards

The Bad And Boujee star is completely smitten with the busty brunette beauty and admired her for working her way up to the top, just like him.
He gushed in a recent Rolling Stone interview: 'She is real solid, came from where I came from, did what I did. She's herself, man. I seen her develop from the trenches all the way up, and I like how she did it.
'I respect her grind as a woman. She came to the game with some gangsta s***. I like that. I f*** with her. That's my baby.'
Offset, who has had his future wife's name inked on his skin alongside a picture of a Powerpuff Girl, popped the question to Cardi while she was on stage at Power 99's Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia in October.

Lady Gaga shows off huge engagement ring at the 2018 GRAMMYs

by , in

As the GRAMMYs got underway in New York, all eyes were on the red carpet - the looks, the beauty and of course, the nod to #TimesUp.
As far as appearances go, Lady Gaga has truly stolen the show with her gorgeous full-length, high-neck lace Armani catsuit and a billowing skirt. She pinned a Time's Up badge to her shoulder with a white rose, and showed off a huge rock on her ring finger, leading many to think that it's the ring Christian Carino gave her when he proposed.

It's gorgeous!
She also rocked a snake ring, which many think was to show her support for Taylor Swift - she's always been a fan!
According to glamour mag, they found out last year that Lady Gaga was engaged to her talent agent, 48-year-old Christian Carino. In an immense show of dedication, he had her face tattooed on to his arm.

Why Lorde didn't perform at the Grammy Awards 2018

by , in

The 2018 Grammys are already quite the mess — and not in a good way.
Turns out, all of the male performers nominated in the Album of the Year category were asked to perform solo — but the sole female, Lorde, was not given that courtesy.
Variety reports that Lorde was asked to perform at the event, but not alone. "[O]ne source says it was part of a tribute to the late Tom Petty involving his song 'American Girl' (which would have been an odd fit for the New Zealand-born singer). Lorde declined."

Of course, this news set Twitter aflame, with Lorde's mother, Sonja Yelich, confirming the upsetting situation. Next to a picture of a New York Times' article that reads: "Of the 899 people to be nominated for Grammy awards in the past six years, only 9% were women," Yelich added: "This says it all."
Lorde's Melodrama is up against Bruno Mars (24K Magic), Kendrick Lamar (DAMN.), Jay Z (4:44), and Childish Gambino ("Awaken, My Love!") at tonight's ceremony.
Lorde was asked by Billboard how it feels to be the only woman nominated in the Album of the Year category, and she responded: "It's crazy I'm the only woman in my category, and I feel very proud of that. I'm wearing that mantle for sure. But I'm also stoked that I'm in there with four incredible artists of color — it's a big moment for the Grammys. It's exciting when these institutions move in the right way. To me, that is a huge victory.

DJ Khaled brings his son Asahd to the Grammys 2018 and it’s beyond adorable

by , in

DJ Khaled has potentially stolen the Grammys 2018 red carpet by turning up with his son Asahd in matching red jackets. The 42-year-old producer appeared on the red carpet with his one-year-old son, sporting red velvet suits to show everyone how you earn collective ‘awws’ with a 100% success rate. Khaled isn’t nominated for any awards this year, but was previously nominated for Best Rap Album in 2017 for Major Key.

DJ Khaled brings his son Asahd to the Grammys 2018 and it’s beyond adorable

He previously teased his son would make an appearance on Instagram, with Asahd even having his own crazy-huge social media presence with 1.8 million followers already.

It isn’t the only pairing on the carpet however, with Sir Elton John and Big Sean also doubling up and, bizarrely, Sting and Shaggy. Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars are so far the big winners ahead of the ceremony, scooping three awards each.
