Carolina Giraldelli had her face painted to match her son’s birthmark, so she could experience what life is like for him for a day. 

Her son Enzo, one, was born with a dark birthmark covering his forehead and stretching down one side of his nose. 

He’s young enough not to notice any stares or comments, but Carolina wanted to feel firsthand what her baby experiences. 

She asked a makeup artist, Elaine Ricci, to replicate Enzo’s birthmark on her face, then went about her day to better understand what her son faces. 

‘I confess that for some time it was very difficult to see and feel the eyes of society flickering my son with looks of pity, contempt, scare and sometimes disgust,’ explains Carolina. 

‘But even though it is not easy, my husband and I act normally and we will always show him as he is.

‘If someone feels revulsion, curiosity or fear, we try to make him understand that he, despite his mark, is a normal boy who is much loved, just like others. 

‘I have never treated him as different – I see him as a normal baby and I want to show him to everyone. ‘I love his birthmark so much; so much so that I wanted, at least for a moment, to have that mark on me too.

‘I wanted to show Enzo this love so I asked my friend who is a makeup artist to create exactly the same look that Enzo has on my face. 

‘The make-up and photos were held close to Mother’s Day here, to honour Enzo who is the greatest gift of God that I could ever receive.’ Carolina says that having a version of Enzo’s birthmark on her face was a moving experience – and Enzo was overjoyed too. 

‘After the makeup was complete I was very moved because I felt like the most beautiful woman in the world,’ she says. 

‘When I got home, Enzo’s reaction was complete joy – even though he did not completely understand. I’m sure he loved my attitude.

‘We took lots of pictures and our morning was a lot of fun. After the photos I went to work with the makeup on. ‘Several people looked at me with many different looks, but I was very calm because I felt like the most proud mother in the world. ‘I kept the makeup on until I went to bed that night, but how I felt has stayed with me every since.’

Enzo was born in May 2017 through a C-section, after a scan revealed his umbilical cord was wrapped twice around his neck. 

Medics were shocked to see the large birthmark on the baby’s face, but Carolina was simply grateful he was born healthy. 

‘I decided that from then on I should become another person who was much stronger, fearless, brave, and ready to face all the obstacles that would now be presented to my son,’ said Carolina, from Cáceres, Brazil.

Meek Mill gave Drake a subtle shout-out in his upcoming single “What’s Beef” remix.

The Philly rapper previewed the track on IG last night and the big takeaway from what we’ve heard so far is the namedropping of Drake. In a recent interview, Meek Mill sounded like he wants to once again collaborate with Drake following their controversial beef in 2015 that did some damage to his career. Who can forget that infamous “Back To Back” diss record Drizzy dropped and it took a whole light year for Meek to respond with a diss track that was absolutely trash.

These days the two rappers, who were good friends before the beef, have since squash everything, but that doesn’t mean they are friends. Our OVO sources told us that Drake and Meek Mill have not spoken to each other since the beef even though they have both moved on from it. Hence the reason why this shout-out Meek gave the Toronto rapper in this upcoming track is all the more surprising.

“Is we beefin’ or rappin’? I might just pop up with Drizzy like what’s,” Meek raps. Now we want to hear the rest of the song to hear where he is going with this lyrics. It could just be a marketing ply by Meek to inject some of Drake sauce in his new music to say to the fans, “see we squash the beef.” Or perhaps he is extending an olive branch to Drake to make amends with what he did on Twitter the night their beef started.

The Dreamchasers rapper didn’t reveal when the full version of the song will be released, but in the meantime you can listen to a short preview below. Drizzy is currently getting ready to drop his new album Scorpion next month. Here is the video preview of Meek’s song.

Vybz Kartel put his own fans on blast for disrespecting his new girlfriend.

The “Luxury Doll” deejay posted a few photos of his new girlfriend on Instagram on Monday. This is not the first time that the deejay is posting a pic of his new bae, but this is the first time that he is confirming that they are dating. Some of you may be wondering how does Vybz Kartel get to date women from prison, well these relationships happen all the time and being a famous celebrity makes it even easier.

“Xoxo.. SidemOzturk,” Kartel captioned the post. She goes by the name Sidy Gaza and she is from Turkey. Sources told Urban Islandz that she and Vybz Kartel have been dating from around 2016 and she regularly visits flies to Jamaica to visit him in prison. She also commented on the post saying, “My baby I love you… So Much.” Kartel responded by saying, “Love you mi baby. oh.”

Seems some of the Gaza girls wasn’t too happy about Vybz Kartel post and left some pretty nasty comments calling the deejay’s girlfriend some shocking things. “Worl’Boss sell we out just another black man stepping on black woman for a white b**ch,” one fan wrote while another added, “Where Kartel get these fake Gaza groupie, you can do better than this boss. This you left Shorty for?”

Some of the deejay’s fans even questioned her ethnicity. Vybz Kartel has since disabled the comments on the posts and edit the caption blasting his fans for hating on his new girlfriend. “Shes white? Lol come offa mi page wid simple minded ignorant rubbish,” Kartel wrote.

Vybz Kartel will be back in court on Thursday of this week for the final appeal hearing ahead of the trial set for July 9th. Urban Islandz will keep you updated on the developments in the case.
