The 36-year-old R&B superstar headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Saturday night (14.04.18) and aside from her elaborate stage outfits and 200 backing dancers, fans were left amazed by how the 'Lemonade' singer's makeup managed to stay put during the two-hour spectacle - even after she patted her face down with a bright white towel mid-performance - and the man behind the magic said it's important to pack on the products to ensure a fresh look which doesn't transfer to clothes.

Speaking to Refinery 29, makeup artist Sir John said: "It's basically like keeping your makeup on through two hours of cardio [laughs]. Layering is the key, so you want to use a liquid foundation, then set it with bronzer; a cream blush then set it with powder blush; eyeliner, then set it with shadow. No matter what part of the face, it has a double application.

"I found this new body makeup called AllEven, it's a spray makeup but it will not move. You can have white sheets and sleep and it won't transfer. I use it on her boobs, arms, and legs. We had four changes so we wanted something transfer-resistant."

Sir John took inspiration from "college girls on campus" for her make-up look, and Beyoncé wanted him to create an eye-look that wasn't too "try-hard".

He said: "She wanted to look young, fresh, and like she wasn't trying too hard. I was really inspired by the dress rehearsal, I didn't want to take her out of the element of the show by making her too girly or too minimal or sleek, I wanted her to look like a college girl on campus."

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson reportedly "haven't spoken for several days"

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson welcomed their baby daughter on 12th April, but things between them still aren't going well apparently.

Last week it was reported that, despite the alleged 'cheating footage' of Tristan, Khloe probably wouldn't split up with the father of her brand new baby, True Thompson.

But that's not the case anymore, according to TMZ, who is reporting that things are so bad between the pair of them, that they "haven't spoken for several days".

"Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... Khloe has not spoken to Tristan for several days because she's still furious after finding out he repeatedly cheated on her and embarrassed her in the process."

"We're told while Khloe recent post made it appear as if she and Tristan were solid -- unveiling the baby's name as 'our little girl', True Thompson -- sources tell us it's just a facade and their relationship is hanging by a thread."

And earlier today, sources told People that she is very much thinking about calling time on their relationship.

"She is very bitter about it. She doesn’t want to be in a relationship with him. She will make sure her daughter still has a good relationship with him, though. Tristan is bonding with the baby."

Cardi B is the newcomer on Billboard nominations list as she joins Taylor Swift and Drake

The 2018 Billboard Music Awards were announced early on Tuesday morning.

And there were plenty of familiar names on the list, including Taylor Swift, Drake and Kendrick Lamar with a few newcomers like Cardi B, whose big hit is Bodak Yellow.

The show will be airing live on NBC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday (May 20) at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

The Billboard nominees are chosen 'through a number of factors, including key interactions with music fans, album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement, as tracked by Billboard and its data partners over a 12-month period.'

In the Top Artist category there was Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Swift.

Top Female Artist went to Swift, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Halsey and Demi Lovato.

Top Male Artist included Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Post Malone and Sheeran.

Justin Bieber made the list too, in the Top Hot 100 category.

The Canadian was given a node with Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee for Despacito. Also in the category are Kendrick Lamar for Humble, Bruno Mars for That's What I Like, Post Malone ft. 21 Savage for Rockstar and Sheeran for Shape Of You.

And Top New Artist went to 21 Savage, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Khalid and Kodak Black.

An instagram user shares his story of how he bought a bottle of pepsi just to refresh himself after the stressful day only to buy a cocked drink with a used straw inside.

He was so surprised at this weird discovery that he took to his IG to criticize the poor hygienic state of the pepsi bottling company, urging them to be more cautious.

Taking to Instagram to share photos of the drink, he wrote;

“I needed a drink yesterday after a long day and I asked a drink vendor to gimme my usual bottle of Pepsi to my chagrin I found a used straw inside inside the factory cocked bottle of pepsi.. and I felt bad that this is not hygienic enough..

It shows @Pepsi_naija does not wash their bottle well from the factory before refilling… I want to advise the company not to leave any stone untouched when producing ..

They should protect their customers; first taking healthy measures so we won’t contact disease and other infections through their products…. Now I have officially stopped taking @pepsi_naijadrinks…”

Kendrick Lamar becomes first rapper to win Pulitzer Prize for Music

US rapper Kendrick Lamar has given hip-hop an unexpected moment of institutional critical acclaim, taking out the Pulitzer Prize for Music for his 2017 album 'DAMN.'.

He was the first musician from outside the classical or jazz worlds to win the award, which recognises the artistic brilliance of a particular piece of music.

The judges described the album as:

"A virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life."

Prize administrator Dana Canedy told The New York Times the win was "a big moment for hip-hop music and a big moment for the Pulitzers".

The Pulitzers, particularly the music category, have long focused on more traditional forms of artistic expression.

The prize was first awarded in the 1940s but it took until 1997 for a jazz winner to come along — Wynton Marsalis for his orotorio Blood on the Fields.

The previous four winners were classical or operatic, and this year Lamar beat out a string quartet work and a "five-movement cantata for chamber choir, electric guitar and percussion".

DAMN. was met with widespread acclaim when it was released last year

It was named Best Rap Album at the Grammys — one of five Lamar won that night — and topped many publications' end-of-year lists. The track HUMBLE. won the Hottest 100.

DAMN. was less pointedly political than To Pimp A Butterfly, Lamar's previous record.

"And we hate po-po, wanna kill us dead in the street fo sho," he sang on Alright, from that album, a reference to the Black Lives Matter movement.

But it still tackled poverty and prejudice and also saw the rapper dealing with more personal issues of faith and the stresses of fame.

The Californian rapper is seen as the king of hip-hop at present — few aside from Drake have the ticket sales and streaming numbers, and Drake isn't considered as forthright a social commentator.

After the announcement, Terrence "Punch" Henderson, the head of Lamar's label Top Dawg Entertainment, said he didn't want to hear anyone "speak with anything less than respect in your mouth for Kendrick Lamar".

The Pulitzers are probably best known for the journalism categories, and this year the top awards in that area went to investigations of sexual misconduct that sparked the Me Too movement.

The New York Times and The New Yorker shared the prestigious Public Service award for their "explosive, impactful" investigations into the actions of Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein.

As you'll recall, Kim and Kourtney flew into Cleveland last Wednesday ahead of the birth ... but jetted back to L.A. a day later. Kris stuck around, though ... and now the whole fam (sans Kylie) seems to be reunited yet again amid a tumultuous time for the new parents.
