Cristiano Ronaldo Wins The 2017 Portuguese Player Of The Year Award (Quinas de Ouro)

Surprise, surprise, Ronaldo has been named the Portuguese Player of the Year for 2017 at the Quinas de Ouro (an award ceremony for Portugal’s finest in the beautiful game).
He beat out Bernardo Silva and Rui Patricio for the award, receiving a dominant 65% of the vote total.
This is also the third time in a row he has won this award, making him the only recipient since the Quinas de Ouro began.
This caps off a brilliant 2017 for the Portuguese forward, where he won La Liga, a second consecutive Champions League title, The European Super Cup, The Spanish Super Cup, the Club World Cup, France Football’s Ballon d’Or, and FIFA’s “Best” Award.
Ronaldo will now look to replicate some of this success in 2018, which may be possible given that his form has been resurrected, Real Madrid are still in the Champions League, and the World Cup beckons in the summer.

Lionel Messi lands in Manchester as Argentina train at the Etihad Stadium ahead of friendly against Italy

Lionel Messi has landed in Manchester ahead of Argentina's showdown friendly against Italy on Friday.
Messi touched down at Manchester Airport on Tuesday afternoon as Argentina's players trained at the Etihad Stadium.
The Barcelona star then changed into his kit and joined his national team-mates on the training pitch.

Messi will play in the friendlies against Italy and Spain, which comes next Tuesday

It is Argentina's first opportunity this year to start their preparation for the World Cup in Russia in the summer. 
Italy failed to qualify for the tournament but will represent a tough test for an Argentina side that required a 3-1 win over Ecuador to reach the finals.
Argentina have been drawn against Croatia, Iceland and Nigeria in Group D.

Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli believes the match against Italy will help to sharpen his side before a second friendly against Spain next week.
Sampaoli said: 'Each match and training session is fundamental for us in preparation for the World Cup. Playing against Italy, in a venue as important as Etihad Stadium, is an invitation to a great event.
'Every Argentine in the world wants to be there when the National Team plays. We are certain they will accompany us for this one.'

Sampaoli watched on as his side went through the gears, making sure they are ready in time for Friday's clash with the Italians. 
A host of Premier League stars were on show, including Chelsea and Manchester United goalkeeping duo Willy Caballero and Sergio Romero, along with Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori. 
After the game on Friday, Argentina's stars will head to Spain. Messi will train along with his team-mates at Real Madrid's training complex. 
Next week's friendly will take place at Wanda Metropolitano, the home of Atletico Madrid, but the Argentine FA have opted to prepare at Los Blancos' training base.

Cristiano Ronaldo unveils official World Cup kit for Portugal

The Portuguese captain posted a pic wearing the home kit, while André Silva was in charge of showing off the away kit.
Portugal's hopes for success during the 2018 World Cup will rely heavily on what Cristiano Ronaldo can do, and being the team's captain and most recognizable player, it was only fitting to see him showing off to the world the kit that A Seleccao das Quinas will wear this summer in Russia.
The Portuguese ace was hand-picked by the team's kit sponsor to promote the new threads. The away kit was worn by André Silva. Both kits reminisce some of their previous designs, but leaving stripes or any sort of pattern away from the kit, keeping it clean and making it more elegant.

Portugal will have a couple of friendlies during the ongoing international break. Fernando Santos' men will play against Mohamed Salah's Egypt on March 23rd, leaving their second clash for three days later, when they take on the Netherlands and their new boss, Ronald Koeman.

Eva Longoria has moved out of her house

Eva Longoria has listed her home in LA for $3.795 million after revealing she was bidding farewell to her home of 10 years last month.
The 43-year-old 'Desperate Housewives' star is expecting her first child with her husband Jose ''Pepe'' Baston and has reportedly listed her Spanish-inspired Los Angeles home for $3.795 million, according to Variety.
Last month, she took to Instagram to tell her 4.5m followers that she is leaving her home of 10 years.
She said: ''Guys, I'm leaving my house of 10 years. The whole house is empty. Everything's packed and everything's empty. Table gone, beds are gone, food is gone, I'm so hungry.''
In the clips, the Hollywood beauty admitted she would ''miss'' her beloved home, but wouldn't be too disheartened to leave the winding spiral staircase behind.
She added: ''There's nothing there anymore. The walls are empty, echoes now. I'm going to miss this place. I'll tell you what I'm not going to miss are these stairs. Every time I'd get in my car and I forget my glasses or my phone, I'm like, 'Ugh I gotta go all the way back upstairs to get it.'''
Eva confirmed her pregnancy in January after rumours began circling at the end of last year, when she posted a photo of her growing baby bump on her Instagram account.
The photo was captioned: ''New year, new adventures! I'm so grateful to my beautiful family for giving this new baby so much love already! #HappyNewYear #2018 (sic)''
Eva has previously admitted her maternal instincts have already kicked in, as she is a stepmother to José's children Natalia, 21, and 13-year-old twins Mariana and Jose, whom he has with his ex-wife Natalia Esperon.
She previously said: ''I am a stepmom to three amazing kids, and I've had my hands full, and they are amazing and wonderful ... It's been a lot of fun, a lot of fun being a stepmom.''

According to new reports, momager Kris is ready to adopt a five-year-old boy with her 37-year-old boyfriend Corey Gamble.
A source told Closer Magazine, “Kris has been desperate for another child ever since her eldest daughter, Kourtney, gave birth to her first grandchild, Mason, eight years ago. Seeing so many of her own offspring have children has made her broody to have another."
The source then went on to add that Corey and Kris have fallen in love with a five-year-old boy who is currently living in an orphanage in LA. They added, “Corey’s fallen in love with a five-year-old boy from an orphanage on the outskirts of LA. They’re in the process of having all the paperwork completed with the hope they might even be able to take their son home next month."

Selena Gomez isn’t putting up with any negativity.
After the 25-year-old entertainer was photographed in a string bikini while vacationing in Australia with her friends, bullies on social media attacked her for her curvier frame.
But on Monday night the singer — who hadn’t sported a bikini publicly since she underwent a kidney transplant last summer — hit back at the body shamers by posting a care-free video of herself enjoying downtime set to Alvvays’ “Dream Tonite.”
“The beauty myth- an obsession with physical perfection that traps modern woman in an endless cycle of hopelessness, self consciousness, and self-hatred as she tries to fulfill society’s impossible definition of flawless beauty. I chose to take care of myself because I want to, not to prove anything to anyone. Wind in her sails,” she captioned the video along with a rainbow and heart emoji.
In Gomez’s footage, she and her pals soak up the sun, recreate an iconic Titanic scene and mug for the camera.

While speaking to Today about her transplant (she received a kidney from longtime BFF Francia Raisa), the star opened up about the physical changes she dealt with after the surgery.
“I have a bit of an obtrusion that will be there forever,” she said about her stomach. “And that means I’m going to have to dress differently. It was really, really massive at first.” She also later told Billboard she felt “wonderfully made” despite not having “perfect abs.”
This isn’t the first time the “Wolves” singer has hit back at her haters.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodriquez showcased her incredible post baby body on the red carpet last night.
The couple looked loved up as they walked the red carpet at the Quinas Awards ceremony in Lisbon, where Cristiano was celebrating his Quinas de Ouro award for best Portuguese player.
Georgina flaunted her slim waist and flat stomach in a pair of high-waisted red trousers - just four months after welcoming their baby daughter Alana.
Cristiano looked smart in a dapper navy suit.
The couple appear to have bounced back from recent cheating scandals.
In November, aspiring model Natacha Rodrigues claimed she slept with the former Manchester United forward at his house in Madrid after months of the pair messaging each other.
Natacha, 21, told The Sun: “I knew he had a girlfriend but we became friends, there was trust between us, a bond.
“He was a lovely person and after messaging for so long it was amazing to be with him.
“Now I think he just used me for sex. I don’t have regrets because being with him was like a dream come true but I feel betrayed.”
And in January, glamour model Rhian Sugden claimed he’d bombarded her with ‘late night texts’.
Rhian claimed the 32-year-old has sent her a ‘barrage’ of messages since leaving Manchester United in 2009, and claim she was forced to fend off his advances; She said Ronaldo backed off after her fiance sent him a ‘polite’ warning.

Kevin Hart Says Meek Mill's Prison Release Will Make the Justice System Better

Kevin Hart believes Meek Mill possibly getting his sentence overturned is a beacon of hope for the criminal justice system as a whole ... and he's got a helluva explanation for why.
We got the comedian Monday night leaving Mr. Chow in Bev Hills, where he weighed in on Meek facing the very real possibility of walking free due to a police corruption scandal in Philly, among other things he's arguing ... like an allegedly biased judge overseeing his case.
Kevin sounds pretty optimistic that justice for Meek will have a ripple effect for wrongly imprisoned individuals beyond just their hometown, not to mention the youth as well.

Facebook’s chief security officer "to leave in row over handling of Russian disinformation campaign"

The Chief Security Officer of Facebook plans to leave the tech company amid disagreements over how the company handles misinformation.

Alex Stamos’ impending departure was reported by the New York Times. This would add to a tumultuous year for Facebook as it grapples with revelations that Russian-linked actors sought to influence the 2016 presidential election with paid advertising and divisive posts.


According to the Times, Mr Stamos was said to be planning to leave in part because of discord over how Facebook should respond to Russian activity. However, in a tweet, Stamos said he remains "fully engaged" with his work at Facebook.
He tweeted: "It's true that my role did change. I'm currently spending more time exploring emerging security risks and working on election security."

In a series of tweets over the weekend, Mr Stamos pledged his commitment to "stopping authoritarians who use the internet as a weapon" while pushing back against criticism of how Facebook handled Russian incursions.

Meanwhile, a Facebook spokesperson did not directly respond to a question about Mr Stamos' future plans. The spokesperson said Stamos "continues to be the Chief Security Officer."
