Lionel Messi aims at winning 2018 FIFA World Cup trophy in Russia

by , in

Argentine football star Lionel Messi aims to win and raise the 2018 FIFA World Cup trophy in Moscow this summer as it may be his last chance to win the much-anticipated global football championship, football news website Goal.com reported on Monday.
"I imagine being able to be in that game, to win it, to be able to raise the cup," Goal.com quoted Messi as saying about his team’s extra time defeat to Germany at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. "It's the dream I have always had and every time a World Cup comes it gets even stronger."
Messi won numerous titles on the global, continental and domestic levels with his Barcelona FC, but playing for his national team was an inch apart for him from winning international championships.

Reaching three finals in a row, namely the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and two editions of the Copa America (in 2015 and 2016), Argentina was left with the second-place result in all of these matches.
"I cried many times because of games like these, for lost finals, for what they mean and for not being able to achieve the dream of a country," Messi said. "They (the three finals) were tough blows."
Messi, who was named the world’s best footballer of the year on five occasions receiving the Ballon d'Or award, is turning 31 this June. His celebrated teammates Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuain, Angel Di Maria, Nicolas Otamendi and Javier Mascherano will be also over 30 years old, when the 2018 FIFA World Cup kicks off in Russia.
"We depend on the results, unfortunately," he said. "We feel that if we are not champions ... we will not have another."
"I want to tell people that I hope it's a great World Cup for us, that my wish is the same as all of you and that we can live something similar to 2014, which was an unforgettable experience, and that the result is similar but this time raising the cup is everyone's dream," the football star from Argentina added.
On December 1, 2017, the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow hosted the Final Draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which determined the group breakdown for the FIFA flagship event this year. A total of 32 national football squads were divided into eight groups with four teams in each.
Team Argentina was placed in Group D alongside with the national teams from Iceland, Croatia and Nigeria.
Russia selected 11 host cities to be the venues for the matches of the 2018 World Cup and they are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Samara.
The matches of the 2018 World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums located in the 11 mentioned above cities across Russia. Two of the stadiums are located in the Russian capital.

50 Cent posts Instagram rant after longtime ex Vivica Fox publishes details about their sex life in her new self-help book

by , in

Their relationship ended more than one decade ago.
But 50 Cent was not happy to hear that his ex-girlfriend Vivica Fox, 53, was rehashing their love story - in and out of the bedroom - in her new self-help book.
The 42-year-old musician took to Instagram to share a quick clip explaining how ridiculous it was for his former love to be speaking about their past more than 14 years after calling it quits.

Reports surfaced late Sunday afternoon that Vivica's new book - Every Day, I'm Hustling - revealed details of the couples relationship, according to NY Daily News

The Kill Bill starlet claimed that while the pair had 'amazing chemistry', there was more focus on his career than their bedroom antics.
'Most of the time, I would be the one initiating sex, because I really enjoyed making love with him,' Fox wrote, before comparing their habits as PG-13.

'That was 14 years ago!' Reports surfaced late Sunday afternoon that Vivica's new book - Every Day, I'm Hustling - revealed details of the couples relationship, according to NY Daily News

Early Monday morning, 50 - real name Curtis James Jackson III - shared a post, 'waking up to this s***, that was 14 years ago. smh who does this?'
Sporting a crisp white T-shirt, jeans and a black New York Yankees baseball cap, the Candy Shop rapper sat at what appeared to be a desk in his office.
He started the video innocently showing off a recently-won trophy from the NAACP Awards for his role in Power before admitting he reads all of the comments on his posts.

'Look first of all, not after 14 years ... no, not after 14 years,' he began his rant on Instagram.
The couple reportedly dated for about a year before calling it quits in 2003, according to an interview the hitmaker had with Tyra Banks, published in US Weekly
Insults were thrown back and forth between the pair, with Jackson reportedly burying the hatchet a few years later and reconciling over the phone.

Manchester United supporters slam Paul Pogba after he takes to Instagram to post picture of his new hairstyle

by , in

Red Devils fans haven't been too impressed with the France international's recent efforts on the pitch

Paul Pogba has been slammed by Manchester United fans after he uploaded a picture of his new hairstyle to Instagram.
The Red Devils midfielder hasn't been impressing on the pitch of late, and has been struggling for first team football.
He suffered an injury ahead of Manchester United's win over Liverpool, and missed the derby as a result, but returned for the Red Devils' defeat to Sevilla.
Jose Mourinho introduced the Frenchman in the latter stages of the last-16 clash, with United losing, but Pogba struggled to impact the game.
He was subsequently left on the bench - alongside the club's best-paid player, Alexis Sanchez - for this weekend's FA Cup win over Brighton.
Pogba took to Instagram on Monday morning to showcase his latest haircut.
The Frenchman is known for sporting a series of radical styles, and fans usually enjoy seeing what his barber has conjured up for him.

But it seems his latest post has backfired a bit, and frustrated United supporters are instead taking aim at Pogba as a result of the image.
"It's time to grow up mate," wrote one fan, while another added: "Try to do different things perfectly on the pitch. You changed your hairstyle three times and scored no goals meanwhile."
A third wrote: "Should stop working on your hair and start working on your game." And a fourth concluded: "Focus on winning trophies bro, and not just on new hairstyles."
"Granted, a hairstyle is not going to determine how well he can control a ball or make a pass, but it does say something about where his mind is at the moment.
"If you are going to attract attention to yourself on a football pitch do it with goals and performances, not cheap gimmicks and marketing tricks."
