Khloé Kardashian Reveals How She Knew Tristan Thompson Was 'The One'!

by , in
When you know, you know!

In December 2017, Khloé Kardashian confirmed she is expecting her first child with Tristan Thompson in a touching Instagram post displaying her baby bump.
Although the KUWTK star and the basketball player are not married, the couple is very much in love, as KoKo considers her man to be "the one"!

In a blog post published on Tuesday, the Revenge Body host reveals:
"I knew Tristan was the one very quickly — I have never felt so comfortable or so safe with someone."
The 33-year-old admits she "took it very slowly" with Thompson to make sure they "had very in-depth conversations," adding:
"I wanted to make sure that those conversations were backed up by actions."
Aside from their deep talks, the cute lovebirds bonded over their shared beliefs about faith, spirituality, and child rearing.
"Tristan was so forthcoming with his life, as I was with mine. It was really reassuring to feel that someone had the same belief systems as I did. We spoke about religion, children and our families."
In the end, Khloé had to ask Tristan all the tough questions in order to confirm their compatibility.
"It's really easy to fall in love with someone during a honeymoon phase when you haven't yet discussed the logistics of life. But you have to talk about the real things if you want a real/long-lasting relationship."
All that's left is for Khloé to deliver her precious baby!

'I will continue to support equality and acceptance for all': Britney Spears proudly announces that she will receive GLAAD Media Vanguard Award

by , in
Britney Spears will be honoured with the 2018 GLAAD Media Vanguard Award.
The 'Slumber Party' hitmaker follows in the footsteps of last year's winner, actress Patricia Arquette, and the likes of Demi Lovato, Janet Jackson and Jennifer Lopez in receiving the accolade, which recognises stars who are long-standing allies and supporters of the LGBTQ community.

The 36-year-old pop megastar has used her platform over the years to speak out on issues affecting people of all sexual preferences across the globe.
She shared the news with her fans on Instagram, writing: 'Honored to be receiving the Vanguard Award at the @GLAAD Media Awards this year! The LGBTQ community means the absolute world to me and inspires me every day. I am proud to be an ally and I will continue to support equality and acceptance for all!!'

Sarah Kate Ellis, the President and CEO of GLAAD, said: 'An irrefutable icon, Britney Spears has entertained the world while also embodying the spirit of GLAAD's Vanguard Award by speaking out on significant issues that face her fans - from the Dream Act to anti-transgender bills in Texas.

'She is a force in the music world who has used her global platform to share messages of love and acceptance, something that the world needs today more than ever.'
The nominees for the 29th Annual ceremony were announced last month, and include Miley Cyrus, Halsey, Kesha, Sam Smith and St Vincent, who are up for Outstanding Music Artist.

Hit maker: The iconic artist is set to return to the stage for a new residency in 2019 after a wildly successful four-year run in Las Vegas during her Piece of Me tour

Meanwhile, 'Call Me by Your Name', 'Lady Bird', and 'Battle of the Sexes' have all received a nod each for Outstanding Film.
Commenting on the nominations, Sarah said: 'At a time when anti-LGBTQ policies and harassment are on the rise, it is imperative that Hollywood and news media tell more LGBTQ stories that reflect the community's rich diversity -and build understanding that brings all communities closer together.
'This year's nominee showcase stories that span races, genres, ages, and geographies, challenge misconceptions, and broaden understanding and acceptance of LGBTQ people across the globe.'
The organisers of the glitzy bash also confirmed there will be a special recognition award for Jay-Z's song 'Smile', as the accompanying video saw the rapper's mother Gloria Carter come out as a lesbian.
As with previous years, there will be two ceremonies, the first is on April 12 in Los Angeles and the second on May 5 in New York.

The mother-of-three was told to cover up

Kim Kardashian has been accused of neglecting her parenting duties in favour of stripping off online.
The reality TV star, 37, posted another racy selfie on Instagram after boasting that she has shrunk her waist to 24 inches.
Kardashian shared a snap of herself posing in a black bikini with a huge diamond choker around her neck.
She captioned the shot: “Forgot to post this last night.”
Her followers were quick to accuse her of taking more of an interest in herself than her newborn daughter Chicago who she welcomed in January.
One user commented: “Aren’t you a mother of a newborn? Baby probably needs some attention (sic).”

Others said they have tired of seeing her near-naked body with one joking they would be more shocked “if she posted a picture of her fully clothed”.
The picture comes days after Kardashian revealed she has reduced her waist to 24 inches.
Speaking in a clip posted on her app during her book club, her sister Kourtney Kardashian says: “I can’t take your hips seriously right now...because your waist is so small and then your hips are so big.”
Asked how small her waist is, she replied: “24. It’s never been 24 ever in my life.”

I DON’T USE MY DAD’S INFLUENCE TO GET THINGS DONE LIKE DAVIDO – DJ CUPPY

by , in

Apparently, billionaire daughter DJ Cuppy daughter is letting the world know she doesn’t use her dad’s influence to get anything done as Davido does.
DJ Cuppy, who is daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola said;
“People have to understand that just because I was born into my family does not mean that it opens all doors, that is everyone’s outside perspective. My inside perspective is just being someone’s child; how can being someone’s child be used against you?
I can walk into a room and before I even open my mouth, everyone has decided, and it’s like you are not giving a young woman a chance to even prove herself.”
Cuppy continued;
“The only difference between Davido and I is that he decided to use the influence as an advantage from an early stage.
So David was like I am ‘omo baba olowo’ (OBO), take it or leave it! I’m not that kind of person, he was smart though, because before you can even do anything, he has already told you he is the son of a millionaire.
He did his brand thing well and he’s about that lush life, he lives large and he’s not apologising for who he is.”

Travis Scott is now a "changed man thanks to baby Stormi's arrival"

by , in

The arrival of baby Stormi Webster has changed, not only her mother Kylie Jenner's life, but also her father, Travis Scott's.
Sources connected to the rapper told TMZ that Travis has been on cloud nine since his first child's birth. Friends have noticed the normally stoic guy is now laughing a lot, and much calmer than usual.

It has also been revealed that Travis' contentment at the arrival of his child is helping him hone his craft. He's been working on a new record, which his inner circle believes will be his best yet, and it's all thanks to Stormi.

Sources also say Travis is already a doting dad and tries to be very involved in his child's life even when he can't be there physically. He has become way more selective on which gigs he takes. One source says only serious cash will pry him away from his baby girl. When he is away from her, he relies on technology to keep in touch. He was in his hometown of Missouri City, Texas to get a key to the city over the weekend but he spent most of his free time on FaceTime with Kylie and Stormi.

Barack and Michelle Obama’s portraits unveiled in Washington

by , in

Former US President Barack Obama joked about being a difficult, impatient model at the unveiling of his and First Lady Michele Obama’s official portraits this morning (12 February) at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC, adding that he opted to forego Kehinde Wiley’s idea of posing him on a horse, dressed in regal attire. “I had to explain that I’ve got enough political problems without you making me look like Napoleon,” Obama said. “We've got to bring it down just a touch.”
Wiley, however, assured us that such a grandiose scene was never in the cards. The portrait instead shows the 44th president pensively seated in a chair surrounded—and sometimes obscured—by foliage that provides a botanical mapping of his life. Kim Sajet, the director National Portrait Gallery where the painting will join the historic collection of presidential portraits, surprised her staff by quickly recognising the flora in Obama’s painting. “I’m an avid gardener so I knew, ‘Oh, that’s an agapanthus,’” she said. African blue lilies reference Obama’s Kenyan father, jasmine represents Hawaii, where he grew up, and chrysanthemums, the official flower of Chicago where he started his political career as a community organiser, appear as well.
While discussing the portrait, President Obama said he found he shared some personal experiences with Wiley, including African fathers who were absent from their lives and American mothers who raised them with “extraordinary love and support”. Wiley also saw similarities: “He and I both have this kind of double narrative going on,” the artist said in an interview after the unveiling. “That was more fascinating than creating a stodgy old version of a presidential portrait.” And while speaking on stage, Wiley was moved to tears when talking about how his mother, who was in the audience, raised him in South Central Los Angeles. “We didn’t have much,” he said, “but she found a way to get paint.”
The Baltimore-based artist Amy Sherald, who painted Michelle Obama’s portrait, was equally emotional while thanking her mother at the event. She also spoke movingly to Michelle about how she inspires others. “What you represent to this country is an ideal, a human being with integrity, intellect, confidence, and compassion,” Sherald said. She explained that the portrait, which depicts the former first lady in a billowing dress designed by Michelle Smith, draws on the colour scheme and grids of the painter Piet Mondrian and the geometric quilts made by the women of Gee’s Bend in Alabama.
While some early reactions on social media have been critical of the grey-toned portrait’s likeness, President Obama thanked Sherald for “capturing the grace and beauty and intelligence and charm and hotness of the woman that I love”. For her part, Michelle Obama said she felt an “instant connection” with Sherald, particularly when the artist came to the Oval Office. “Barack kind of faded into the woodwork,” Michelle Obama recalled. “She was fly and poised, and I just wanted to stare at her for a minute.”
She also said she was “a little overwhelmed, to say the least” about the portrait and was moved by the thought of “all the young people, particularly girls of colour, who will see an image of someone who looks like them hanging on the wall of this great American institution. I know the kind of impact that will have on their lives, because I was one of those girls.”
Noting that the unveiling took place on Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, David Skorton, the secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, said that the 16th president credited a portrait by Mathew Brady with helping elect him. While Skorton added that there were likely some other factors at play, “presidential portraits have a particular power to capture the public imagination,” he said. In this case, it is doubly historic, as it is of the country's first African American president by the first African American artist commissioned to paint such a picture.
The lasting imprint of this particular presidential couple could also be seen in the flood of media coverage that followed the portraits’ unveiling. Wiley had just finished answering journalists’ questions when a handler whispered to him that he was trending on Twitter—ahead of Barack Obama.

Seal won't be charged with sexual assault, authorities say

by , in

Singer Seal will not face criminal charges stemming from an allegation of sexual assault, ABC News has confirmed.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, a woman, the singer's neighbor, claimed that two years ago, after she stopped by his house to retrieve a salad spinner, he'd lunged at her, grabbed her breasts and tried to kiss her.
She reported the alleged crime earlier this year, after Oprah Winfrey's stirring speech at the Golden Globes in January.
However, because of the delay in reporting the incident, the statute of limitations has run its course, the D.A.'s office noted, adding that the lack of witnesses or evidence to corroborate her claim would have made it difficult to prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt.
Seal 'vehemently denies' sexual battery accusations made against him
In Golden Globes speech, Oprah looks to 'time when nobody ever has to say 'Me Too' again'
A representative for Seal had no comment when reached by ABC News.
Last month, Seal, 54, "vehemently" denied the allegations made against him, and according to his publicist, intended to "vigorously defend himself against these false allegations." Prior to the allegation being made, the singer said in a video posted to social media that he applauded women who had spoken out about sexual misconduct.
"To all of you who have been raped, to all of you who have been sexually abused: I applaud you for coming forward. What you did takes real courage," he said. "Please keep coming forward because that's the only way that we get to solve this thing. We talk about it, we open dialogue, we solve it."
