He may have been one of Hollywood’s leading Martial Arts film legends, but Jet Li has been snapped looking more frail than usual this week.
In a fan snap uploaded to Twitter, a man reported to be Jet Li happily smiles as he poses in Tibet. After he stepped away from the limelight, it was alleged his health was declining as he battles an overactive thyroid and in this snap he looks far from the fit star who starred in such epic movies as Lethal Weapon 4 and Romeo Must Die, alongside the late, great Aaliya.
The star – who said he was diagnosed in 2010 – stood with his arms crossed in front of his body, as the fan who stood with him appeared to hold them up.
The 55-year-old’s fans took to social media to voice their concern and sadness at seeing the actor in a more frail state.

So, apparently, Jet Li is suffering from “hyperthyroidism and spinal problems” and this is him now Hyperthyroidism causes changes in a person’s metabolism and heart rate and is usually treated through medication.
Li says his strong belief in Buddhism as well as meditation and scripture reading help stabilise his condition. He’s also said to be suffering from spinal problems after decades of martial arts and demanding film roles.
In 2003 he told The Hollywood Reporter about his condition: ‘I’m in pain, but I’m not suffering. I’m happy.’
But fans were floored by his most recent appearance.
One said: ‘Jackie Chan and Jet Li were like Gods to me when I was little.
It’s so sad to see Li like this.’ Another added: ‘I’m broken to see him like this.’
Others wondered if it was for a role though, as he signed up for the 2020 remake of Mulan.
