The 24-year-old, an ever-present in City’s title-winning campaign until Wednesday’s win over Brighton, has impressed with his bravery as much as his athleticism and shot-stopping prowess, but it is his unrivaled distribution which has really caught the eye.
Ederson’s ability to belt the ball down field with precision accuracy has added an extra weapon to City’s already fearsome attack and prompted the champions to invite their goalkeeper to break a new world record.
And, after several attempts, Ederson now owns the record for the longest drop-kick, setting a mark of 75.35 metres.
