Many diehard fans assumed that at least two of his newest songs were about his relationship with Selena Gomez.
And The Weeknd proved that he does have an emotional draw to those tracks.
The 28-year-old crooner real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye - seemingly had tears running down his face during his headlining set at Coachella on Friday.

He was toward the end of his performance as he did Privilege from his recently released EP titled My Dear Melancholy which has been speculated to be about his 25-year-old ex.
A tear could be seen under his eye as he began the song by singing: 'Enjoy your privileged life 'cause I'm not gonna hold you through the night. We said our last goodbyes so let's just try to end it with a smile.'
Many believe that The Weeknd is referring to Selena's kidney transplant that she had over the summer as he sings: And I don't wanna hear that you are suffering, you are suffering no more. 'Cause I held you down when you were suffering, you were suffering.'
Toward the end of the performance another tear could be seen rolling down his cheek.
Earlier in the set, he looked emotional once again while doing Call Out My Name which is also said to be about Selena as he created headlines for a lyric which seemed to suggest that he considered donating a kidney to his then-girlfriend Selena for a life-saving transplant last year.
He crooned: 'I almost cut a piece of myself for your life/ Guess I was just another pit stop/ Til you made up your mind/ You just wasted my time.'
