This season, Cristiano Ronaldo is, by far, the top scorer in Champions League. He does that a lot. He’s chasing down his old record of 17 goals in a tournament. Here’s his 14th, which is truly outrageous.
Ronaldo has scored some amazing Champions League goals, and a few bicycle kicks, but the height of this jump and the placement of this shot puts it in the upper echelon of all bicycle kick goals you’re ever going to see.
He’s scored a goal in 10 straight Champions League games, by the way. That’s a lot.
This one really sunk Juventus in its Champions League quarterfinal matchup against Real Madrid. It frustrated Paulo Dybala so much he got red carded for a dangerous tackle immediately afterwards
The goal was so impressive that even Juventus fans had to stand and applaud the effort. It's tough to blame them — it's not every day you get to witness greatness.
Real Madrid's manager, Zinedine Zidane, couldn't contain his disbelief either.
Real Madrid later scored another goal to give them a 3-0 advantage heading home for the second leg of the quarterfinals — a lead that, barring a total collapse, should prove enough to move them through to the next stage of the competition.
