Sergio Ramos and his TV presenter wife Pilar Rubio have welcomed their third son into the world.
The Real Madrid star, 31, shared the happy news with his 14 million Twitter followers on Sunday.
He wrote: "With great joy we introduce you to Alejandro. He was born at 18:24 and weighed 3.1kg. Mom and baby are great. Thank you, everyone. I love you, @PilarRubio."
The footballer added: "Thank you for sharing our joy."
The accompanying picture shows TV presenter Pilar, 40, holding her newborn on her chest while the football player, wearing a hospital gown, puts a tender arm across his wife and son.
Pilar uploaded the same picture to her Twitter account, and thanked her husband for his support during the delivery.
"Thank you, my love @SergioRamos for never letting go of my hand and thank you all for the affection. We are very happy to introduce you to Alejandro, born today at 6:24pm, 3.1 kg."
The pair, who were confirmed as a couple when they appeared together at the 2012 Ballon d'Or ceremony, already have two sons.
