YouTube Offers Up A Non-Apology Apology For Allowing Logan Paul's 'We Found A Dead Body' Video To Trend

Logan Paul isn't the only guilty party in this controversy.

The YouTube star was hit with an immense amount of criticism when he uploaded a video of an apparent suicide victim. While the internet sensation has apologized a couple times for the insensitive producing choice, many are calling for Paul's 15 million+ subscribed account to be pulled from the video sharing site.
However, others are dragging YT for allowing the disturbing content to be uploaded in the first place. Not to mention, YouTube allowed the vid to be featured in the trending section of the site. In fact, it was Logan, not the company that took down the footage.
Internet users reacted:

YouTube only made the situation worse when they offered up a non-apology to the situation. They wrote:
"Our hearts go out to the family of the person featured in the video. YouTube prohibits violent or gory content posted in a shocking, sensational or disrespectful manner. If a video is graphic, it can only remain on the site when supported by appropriate educational or documentary information and in some cases it will be age-gated. We partner with safety groups such as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to provide educational resources that are incorporated in our YouTube Safety Center."
What a whack response!! Although YouTube has said that Logan's video violated its policies, it's currently unclear if the company placed a strike on his channel. Ugh.
Understandably, we aren't the only ones infuriated by YT's lame response to this v v v serious scandal. People reacted on Twitter:

We think both Logan and those who run YouTube need to take a hard look at themselves and figure out how to be better…
