Saoirse Ronan, 23, lands in London as she learns of her THIRD Oscar nomination... fresh from her Best Actress win for Lady Bird at the Golden Globes

She took home the Golden Globe for Best Actress two weeks ago, for her role as Christine McPherson.
And Saoirse Ronan has now been revealed as a nominee for the same category at the 2018 Acadamy Awards - making this her third nomination.
The Irish actress, 23, touched down at London's Heathrow airport, just as the nominations were announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Not letting the hoopla get to her, the nominee cut a low-key figure as she sauntered through the Arrivals terminal in a baggy ensemble.
Headphones around her neck, she went make-up free in a T-shirt and a large beige sweater, which draped off her lithe frame.
She wore skinny jeans and and large black trench coat, again swamping her tiny physique.

The natural beauty swept her light locks up on her head and slung a small leather purse over one shoulder - her Golden Globe clearly packed in her checked luggage.

And she looked significantly more glamorous at her Screen Actors Guild Awards appearance at the weekend as she donned a fitted baby pink gown with silver trim.

Saoirse came to international prominence in 2007 with her co-starring role in Atonement, for which she received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress, making her one of the youngest actresses to receive an Oscar nomination in this category.
In 2015, she starred in the romantic-drama Brooklyn, for which she received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actress, the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.

Oscar-worthy: Lady Bird tells the story of her character Christine, a high school student at odds with her parents in 2002

On Sunday, she failed to scoop the SAG for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role - and her co-stars were also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, which they failed to win.
But success at the Golden Globes is often a nod to what we can expect at the Oscars - which means Saoirse could be in for an exciting evening come March 4.
She is up against Sally Hawkins [The Shape of Water], Frances McDormand [Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri], Margot Robbie [I, Tonya] and Meryl Streep [The Post].
Lady Bird tells the story of her character Christine, a high school student at odds with her parents in 2002, and follows the struggles and difficulties an adolescent must go through in making pivotal decisions about her life.
