Don Pedro Obaseki, PhD, is one of those prodigious Nigerians who at the early age of 23 years had already acquired a doctoral degree from the University of Benin. He lectured in that very University for several years until theatre, television and full time communications practice took him to Lagos where he staged many plays, worked immensely for Clapperboard, a TV content medium, DBN and was later consultant for the establishment of the first privately owned radio station in Nigeria; Raypower FM and later AIT and DAARSAT.
In another news, A Nigerian actress identified as Lala Akindoju expressed discontent to the state of the Nigerian entertainment industry especially as regards some of the songs put out by top entertainers.
The actress took to her page on instagram to react to the disturbing trend of promoting and encouraging hard drugs and substances in the name of dance and music.
According to Lala, the most disturbing part is how much everyone seems to be cool with it just to be entertained.
She states categorically that on her part, she is disturbed.
Although Akindoju mentioned no particular artiste or song, it was clear that she was referring to the latest song of Olamide Baddo, Science Students, a song presently causing commotion on the social media with a lot of dancers trying to produce the perfect one minute video that aptly depicts the lyrics of the song.
In some of these short clips, many of the dancers were seen mixing substances together to give them the ‘high’ effect needed for the dance.
